Also, I was extremely disappointed with how the plot wrapped up. It was mentioned several times that Sarina was working for someone as if that person would be the ultimate Big Bad that Evie would have to go up against, but we never even met this person. I had the same issue with Sarina’s resurrection. Why even mention it if it’s not actually going to be part of the plot?? All in all, I just felt that the ending wrapped up too quickly and failed to address several things brought up throughout the books.
I would have liked to see much more development of the characters and of the plot. This series was very underdeveloped, in my opinion.
Might contain a spoiler or 2.
In this book I am not sure what happened...there was definitely a lot happening in this book. It was all over the place. The whole Serina thing wasnt even finished. Not all the questions were answered. It wasnt very well thought out. I honestly think I had the most trouble with the last few chapters of the book. Basically at the part where she found Marcus. Not to mention her bonding to Tiros, Killian, and Aaron was rushed and forced. They had no time to develop anything of a relationship and that left me disappointed. Tying everything up was rushed at the end and I honestly thought as I got to the 85% mark that there was another book because I knew it couldnt be squeezed in but she did. Author jammed everything into the last 2 chapters and I just couldnt buy that. Then....we get a twist. Another Fate Witch tossed into the mix to save her remaining 2 bondmates?! Eh? We were told there wasn't any other Fate Witch's and how freaking rare Evie was. What the heck?! I think this had information overload. It should have been 4 books instead of 3. Definitely feeling whiplash. I loved the 2nd book and this one...ouch.
besides the interesting time jumps. I still really loved this series and will continue to follow this author. I can't wait to see where in this world they will take me next.
