this was a magazine my husband wanted to read so we tried one issue first before subscribing. Not full detail like a hard copy but enough to make it worth your while.

It is the independence of Consumer Reports that has made them the leading source of information on pricing, quality, and performance of consumer products for 60 years. Their ratings cannot be quoted by manufacturers in advertisments. They purchase the products they evaluate on the open market, rather than testing demo models provided by vendors. Internet sources like CNET provide valuable reviews and information well worth considering, but Consumer Reports still holds the top spot for unbiased comparisons. The Kindle version is to me a step better than the print version, and the price is much better.

I very much enjoy reading this magazine, it is very helpful on what is good and what to stay away from.

We have used Consumer Reports information for years. Everything from cameras to a car. No disappointments in following their guides on what is a good dependable product for the money.

Contrary to an other's review, I think that this product is very easy to read on my Kindle Fire and I see no blurriness at all. And, $2.00 per magazine is a very small price to pay for convenience of use and NO paper trail to contend with; no garbage or recycling. Can read anyplace, any time, even in the dark. I think CR is a great magazine. It keeps me informed on what's out there, what's good and what's bad.

Consumer's Report has had its day but with the advent of the Internet sites like C/Net, NY Times, etc. they are no longer the sole source where people can get product reviews, learn about recalls, or which roll of toilet paper is the best bang for the buck. By the time their printed magazine reports come out many of the products reviewed have been replaced with newer models.
Save your money and use any of the free sources available online (like Amazon) that are more up-to-date.
