Very thick, and textured! Fairly easy to install IF you plot out you plan of attack ahead of time. Installed over Formica...thuroughly cleaned ahead of time. (follow up with an alcohol wipedown after you clean the surface to get any residual film off). Plot it out to have as few seams as possible. Caulk areas where water will be present. My only knock is that heat will flatten the texture. A plastic foot was missing on my slow cooker...and the screw got hot enough to put a dent in the material. This stuff is not the cheapest option...but is leaps and bounds beyond standard contact paper. The stained concrete pattern accentuates our cabinet paint quite well!

This is my 1st review. I writing it because I want to validate the other reviewers. This is a good looking product and helped transform our bathroom. I would buy it again. I didn't give it 5 stars because I'm still not sure it looks like real wood. Maybe because I know it's basically a vinyl wallpaper, it looks like just that to me. However I've already had a few people tell me it looks real.
