I'm no poetry expert but I do enjoy a little feeling in my life every once in a while, and Contemplations in my Senior Years provides a lot of that. Although I'm still a young man, I found Esther Lester's explorations of mortality, nature, blindness, leaky faucets, and the divine to be deeper than I expected, and I enjoyed her poetry at least as much as I enjoyed E. E. Cummings.
The vocabulary in this text is quite advanced for a lay person like me though. I'm studying for the GMAT exam right now, and the vocabulary in the verbal section of that test isn't near as advanced.
