Christoph knows more about content marketing & content performance than anyone out there
Reviewed in the United States on January 31, 2020Verified Purchase
It's tough to find someone who documents their ups and downs with content marketing & content performance as well as Christoph. He's a true content marketer - and content performer, at that - and he has you covered on any subject you're interested in in the field. I personally like his thoughts on podcasting the best, as it's such an exciting, growing industry. 100% recommend this book for anyone interested in upping their content performance

This book wasn’t an organized mess. I found a table of contents at the very back of the book instead of the front, and none of the topics matched the pages they were supposed to be on. Further, I’m a marketing professor and a social media consultant and this book was confusing for ME-and I’m familiar with SEO, keywords, etc.
The author uses acronyms that he does not define, and uses no clear HI AND H2 headings to organize the information. He could take his own advice and “get to the point.” I would not suggest this book.

Christoph is one of those authors who writes from experience. All the elements in his books, this one specifically, come from his experience of trying them out first and finding the results. He sees what works and what doesn’t. Every organization who reads this book will have to adapt these practices to their business model. But these are not theoretical tactics. These are executed and analyzed first. That I think is unique about Christoph and his books.

A step-by-step approach to embrace a content performance mindset and create performing content
Reviewed in the United States on November 7, 2020
This is not a book about how to create content that performs well. It's a book about how to create a performance culture - and embrace a performance mindset - that will make your content perform well. The culture makes all the difference. In this book, Christoph puts together his best articles and shares the strategies that he's personally tried and tested in a conversational way. Sharing his personal experiences as a content strategist is what makes this book very real and authentic, in addition to being an easy read. What I loved most about this book is how Christoph walks you through the steps - with the nitty-gritty details - of how to start and set up your podcast, how to syndicate your content, how to optimise your content creation workflows, in addition to why and how to start providing immersive experiences through video. The great value of this book's content and how easy it was to read and follow the steps made me oversee the few grammar slips. I would recommend this book to anyone who's considering revising or upping their content strategy.

I love Christoph's angle here -- How to deploy and employ content marketing in an organization. And it's more than just team, structure and process ... he goes really granularly into the how-tos of video, podcasting and more. This book is very practical for any size business, but will really help those small business folks who often get overwhelmed by all the options in the digital space. Well done.
