This is Contigo
Powered by performance. Driven by design. Innovating for a more sustainable future—one drop at a time.
We are proud of the quality materials and reliable workmanship that goes into each Contigo product. We go to great lengths to create a truly superior product, but we also know that on occasion, things happen.
About the Brand
For the past many years, we have put creating innovative solutions at the forefront of everything that we do. It all began with an idea to eliminate spills with a coffee mug that sealed between sips. From there, we engineered a patented technology called Autoseal to deliver on that groundbreaking idea. We received such great feedback that we decided to jump in and start to revolutionize the whole beverageware category (travel mugs, water bottles, tumblers, kid’s bottle, etc.)

I haven't found any lighter bottle for the same capacity of liquid.
It has the type of sipping spout that flips up (it's actually fun), but stows underneath in a way that keeps it cleaner.
The handle works well to carry by hand. Contigo's carabiner handle model might be more useful for certain situations, like being able to attach it to a backpack, say, more easily. But the carabiner handle, being offset and immobile, doesn't work well for hand carrying the bottle.
One feature this translucent bottle might lack for you is if you want a flask to hold the temperature for a very long time, which this flask doesn't really do. You need to use more money and weight for that kind of vacuum construction.
But the downfall with the two I purchased recently is that the straws in these water bottles, have to be literally cramit into the port in the lid! I didn’t like that design, usually seeing that’s what cheaper brands do! And hope the straw will stay in place. It is not anchored to the lid, like the screw on straws. And that’s why I didn’t buy other brands. These water bottles have that poor design.
The second design flaw in these bottles have a handle that, if it is up, gets in the way of the mouth piece. Bummer!
Contigo...why? whyyyyyyyyyyyyy discontinue the Ashland.
