These WERE the best before they molded!! Impossible to clean all the nooks/crannies.

UPDATE: They grow mold in places that are impossible to clean without disassembling the entire lid, which takes a special tool! Contigo customer service offered to send new lids if I sent them pictures, I sent the pictures and tossed the moldy lids in the trash. Then they said they needed an additional picture (not originally requested), knowing I had already thrown the moldy lids away... Seems like they're just trying to avoid replacing them!

Original review: These are the best!! We just reordered another 3 pack and I'm tossing all of our other sippy cups!

We use our cups every day, multiple times a day. We also use these a lot for chocolate milk in the morning. They often remain in the hot car all day while I’m at work. We’ve had a hard time finding cups that I could wash out after 8 hours in the hot sun and this cup is it. We haven’t had near the problems with molding and smells that we have from other cups. I attribute that to the ability to remove all the parts and thoroughly, and easily, clean everything. There are lots of nooks and crannies for juice and milk to hide out and cause problems. I took off a star because heat will cause a pressure build up and slowly push the liquid out if left in a hot car. I learned this the hard way and took weeks to get the smell of spoiled milk out of my back seat. I have to remember to unscrew the kid slightly to keep the pressure from building up every day after dropping kids off and before going into work.

These are absolutely the best. My son throws his cups and breaks them. These take abuse and are easy to open for him. He had all types of bottles even the ones with similar concept to these from target but they didnt last. Their locking mechanism was a little different and couldnt take the abuse these take even though they looked slightly fancier. I STRONGLY recommend these. They helped get my son off the bottle. If there was any complaint, its not specific to these but to the straw cup setup. My son sometimes gets frustrated when tired and thinks he has a bottle and lifts causing him to not find any liquid. Its funny watching my son lift these up while drinking as if they are a bottle. We teach them to lift up when drinking bottle and they have to learn to bring down when using this.

UPDATED REVIEW:
So these are still the best cups I ever bought but one annoying problem I run into is if you keep juice in it too long or angled, when you pop open the top to start drinking, there seems to be some gas creation that causes the liquids to shoot out. not just a drip but a good 2-3 sips worth. You have to drink some or open the top to release whatever gases are causing this to happen. This seems to only happen with juice (we dont put soda in these cups). There is a work around but annoying especially when you trying to give your child something to drink in the middle of night and you wet your child and the bed. I would still buy again but wanted to share the only flaw I seen with the cup.

The best leak free cups, better than camelbak

These are simply the best leak free water bottles for infants/toddlers. My son has used these cups since he was about 15 months old. They are very easy for him to carry around by the handle and easy to sip - they seem to be not too fast for the little ones, but not too slow for bigger kids. They are completely leak free. In my experience, the only time they become "leaky" is when they are A) old & need to be replaced or B) have been used for sticky thick substances like juice or milk. The leak is caused by the little membrane inside the straw that seals the liquid in. Over time or after hard use, it becomes partially detached and the seal is broken, then you have cold liquids rising up and out the top of the straw.

The instructions say to clean the straw with the a brush. I did that and the seal broke, twice. Contigo sent me two brand new cups. We now wash them after every use and never put milk in them (so we don't have to physically clean the inside of the straw). We have had absolutely NO mold problems.

For those of you following to see if the right ones are being sent (autospout with straws instead of autoseal with flip lid) I received the correct order today. I love these cups. I was previously using the old version (striker) but after awhile the straw came loose inside the cup all the time. I'm hopeful that this newer version will stand the test of time (the design is better so I think it will!). But regardless, these are my go-to cups for my 2yo whether at home or out. We use them 24/7. Never had a leak. Never broken despite lots of drops. And I've had no issues with mold in the lid with regular hand washing. I would definitely recommend!

We have had these for 2 years and discovered all 3 of them covered in black mold about 6 months ago. We cleaned all of them, but ended up throwing 2 of them away because we couldn’t assemble them back together. The photo is of black mold growing yet again after 6 months of use. These are really expensive and I would rather buy the Camelback for ease of cleaning and for the health of my child ☹️.

really nice for a non leak cup, easy for the kids to use, drink out of, and push the button. but as far as cleaning goes it had some parts that get gross and its very difficult to clean. even taking the cup apart as much as possible to clean it is not easy and a even more so pain to put back together. I ended up poking holes in two of my cups trying to put them back together
