I looked at a lot of water bottle options, but I chose this for two reasons: 1. Stainless steel. 2. The absence of a spout/straw makes them very easy to keep clean so I don't have to worry about mold forming. They're also a really nice size for young kids. They hold a good amount of water, but the bottle is still small enough that they easily tote them along wherever we're going.
I'm really happy I chose these bottles, and I highly recommend them if you no longer need a bottle with a spout.
I would concur with other reviewer about the near impossible task of extracting the piece of paper that comes packed inside the bottle. After several attempts using dexterity, I chose destruction. I filled the bottle with hot water and let it set. It then became easy to extract the paper in soggy pieces, but has the disadvantage of having no clue as to what they said. After I had made the extraction and began the cleaning chore, I noted that both the cap and it's receiver can unscrew from the thermos, and when unscrewing the receiving end of the cover is removed, it widens the neck area. That would have made it easy to extract somewhat normally. Maybe! If the mfg continues to market this model, documentation needs improving.
Hydroflasks and others like it are too big and expensive for us if they lose it. These are just the right size and price.
