I really like them! They turned my decidedly road bike into one I can use comfortable and securely on some gravel roads -- and we have a LOT of gravel roads out here.
The tire itself has a thicker belt and deep tread, It's deeper than most street tires and went on my 30 year old rims with only the last 6" requiring the help of a bead tool and balanced out very well for a heave tire.
Rides a little harder than cyclo cross tire that was on before but rolling resistance was down as well. The tire is grippy on the street but the deep tread feels like it's drifting in a hard turn, 10 more pounds of air in the back makes that feeling go away. Have fun, check the size first!
Next I'll have to go find some thorns..............
Good grip in all conditions
High rolling resistance (as compared to Continental City Ride) These are way slower, the difference is dramatic.
No Reflective sidewall
I didn't buy the City Ride II's because the design includes siping across the face of the tire, vs. a solid center. But I am a huge Continental tire fan, so I guess I'll try them out.
These are Big mean tires with fairly aggressive tread for a street tire. Handles going off road very well but still rolls smoothly on pavement. The hard rubber tread is very thick and will last for thousands of miles. Also, as expected, tougher then nails...and glass...and thorns...and wire...ect ect. You get these tires because flats are not a option for you, but you don't want to use solid tires. Downside is these roll only marginally better then solid tires. They are HEAVY and rigid and unforgiving.
All in all I put up with the loss in speed, for the gains in durability, tread life and all terrain function.
As far as mounting difficulty is concerned, while a tight fit, I was able to install these tires on my rims without the use of tire levers, and the Sun CR18 rims do not have much of a center well/channel to facilitate easier mounting. Tire mounting ease or difficulty is a combination of factors; tire bead tolerance, rim tolerance, and most importantly installation skill. I have worked in several bike shops, having changed many tires on many rims, and I only needed tools (tire lever or bead jack) about 5 percent of the time.
Bottom line, I bought this tire because I like the pronounced tread pattern on a narrower tire, and Conti has been my go-to brand for quality and value for 10+ years. They are a bit heavy at 624 grams actual weight for the 700x32 size, but it is a good trade for the deep tread and robust sidewall construction.

Why? Because 'decimal' 26x1.5 is not the same as 'fractional' 26 x 1 1/2, its all down to the multiple tyre sizing standards in use. So the 26x 1 1/2 size for these tyres is actually an ISO 40-584, whereas the size I actually wanted is a standard mountain bike 40-559. There is a significant size different and no ay will this tyre fir on my rims.
So in a way its my own fault for now knowing this (after 30 years of building and maintaining bikes), but I think the listing could have been better written.
Anyway - its actually a good looking tyre, I just wished it fitted. The package is just too huge to be bothered to try and send back for a refund, I'l just have to wait until I get a bike that uses this tyre size.
A way cheaper than other places.
Also they came two days before expected, very happy with the product.
