Gamevice snuggly holds the iPad mini safe and secure for when the going gets rough.
Gamevice has every trigger and button necessary for the most complex of games improving on the classic controllers and keeping up with the contemporary controllers.
The Gamevice is a cool contraption that brings tactile controls to your iPhone or iPad (different versions). The controls feel great and truly emulate a console controller experience. If you already have an iPad here's a way to step up the gaming experience especially for longer gaming sessions.
The iPad mini is the max when it comes to the ultimate mobile console game experience. We couldn’t think of a more powerful portable product with such a big heart.

Plug and Play, works with Android automatically and all the buttons are mapped correctly. I use this with Moonlight Game Streaming to stream from my desktop and everything works great. Includes the pushable thumb sticks (L3, R3)- all the buttons a standard Xbox controller has. Button/trigger presses feel good, Dpad is accurate as are the thumb sticks. Not much "dead zone" on the sticks, altho the right thumb stick seems to be a bit more sensitive on the Y-axis than the X.
One last thing- this may be due to my device not being a Samsung, but if I plug in the USB-C port into the controller while my phone is plugged connected, the controller "disables" and goes into charging mode. I cannot seem to play & charge at the same time on my LG G6. Again, likely a Samsung thing. Otherwise, I am satisfied with my purchase.
The triggers will work as intended in officially supported games like Grand Theft Auto and Modern Combat 5, and in emulators, but won't work in unsupported games like Shadowgun Legends or the Half-Life port Xash3D.
Fun fact, if you use a program called Parsec to stream your PC to your phone and play games, the triggers will work for xinput but will be backwards. No back button though!
It beats the hell out of me what the Gamevice button on the controller is for. There is a Gamevice app you can download that will show you all the supported games, but you don't need the app for the triggers to work as intended in supported games. To get the controller to work in touchscreen-only games like PUBG, you can install an app like Octopus.
Aside from the joystick and button oddities, I think this controller is amazing. I've always wanted to play games comfortably with buttons on my phone, and this controller is just such a treat. It's easy to put on and take off. It seems pretty secure but I fear the day the rubbery stretchy parts will get old.
It's good for me that I just happened to have this phone. There are other vice-like controllers for mobile, but they would cover the charge and audio ports on the Galaxy S7. With this controller, you can plug headphones in (you won't get any of Samsung's built-in sound enhancements) or you can charge (no data transfer). It is hilariously long compared to a Playstation Vita, but it's definitely that level of comfort, if not better. Not needing Bluetooth is also really nice.
I'm so satisfied that the next time I get a phone, I'll have to make sure it's one Gamevice supports because I can't go back to not having a nice, easy, effective controller. I just hope they don't screw up the back button and triggers with later controllers.
It's a little annoying having to remove the case after each use, but a small price to pay for a great device.
