COOLING - I’d say my temps idled around 35-40°C and I gamed somewhere around 48-57°C. I don’t do much overclocking so, not really getting into that. Once I did some reading about proper air direction in the H500, I put 2 of the fans in the front of the case for intake and made sure my top and rear were exhausting. I fired up Division 2 and played for a while and the fans never spun up like a jet once. I was super impressed. Checked temps and I was gaming about were I used to idle. I had no idea these would add so much cooling to my case. A+ for these giving me great airflow!
NOISE - Fan noise never seemed to bother me and until my stock fans and Spire really started to take off like a jet. Holy cannoli they got loud. After installing these 4 DeepCools, noise level dropped significantly. I really expected these to be super loud based on the cheaper price and some reviews, but my experience has been great. A+ for bringing my buzzing noise level down to a slight breeze!
APPEARANCE - This is one spot I feel that lacks. The fans are black squares and just look like you’re basic case fan with a white translucent blade. No real bells or whistles there. The LED lights shine from the center of the blades out so, the light is really strong in the middle and just sort of dissipates at the edges. Overall, though, I’m still really happy with the aesthetics they gave my case so, I’ll say a B for appearance.
QUALITY & INSTALL - I’m working on a GIGABYTE GA-AX370 in an H500. Everything was pretty straight forward for the install, but I ran into three concerns. 1) The supplied screws seemed almost like they didn’t want to fit into the fan’s screw holes. I really had to back up a few times to insure they were straight and try again. I feel like they don’t line up super straight and you have to use way too much force to get them all the way down. 2) the power wires seemed a little short, whereas the RGB cables were a good few inches longer. This had me scratching my head a few times to figure out how I was going to daisy chain everything and get it all to where it needed to go. I feel like for the most part I didn’t have a lot of cable to spare so, be wary if you have a large case. The supplied power hubs and RGB adapter gave me the proper amount to get the job done, though. 3) The RGB adapter that connects to the mobo feels very very loose. I even pushed on it gently a few times to see if it just wasn’t all the way seated, but it was. Works fine, just makes me nervous how loose it is just sitting on the four pins. I like a snug fit. One last issue that might bother some is the instructions. They are garbage. I don’t even know why there are any in the box. It’s a few outlines of the the product showing how it daisy chains and that’s about it. I pretty much just problem solved the install myself and threw them out the window. So, kind of a C+ for install and quality.
Bottom line, I’m super happy. Even if I only used them for a few months and moved up to something else, I feel like I got my money’s worth and they did more than I had even asked for. I had no idea they would help bring my case temp down so much and be so quiet all the while giving me some nice visuals in the case. I’m even considering holding off on doing more research on CPU fans and coolers because I’ve had great results with my temps! For my personal biased experience, I give them an overall 4 stars. Will report back if anything negative comes up.

-great value
-bright LEDs
-pretty good cooling
-RGB cords daisy chain well
-5pack comes with 2 fan hubs
-vibration pads work well
Cons:
-cheap screws
-not the quietest at high speeds
-RGB Header Extension cord slides off easily
-not sure if the fans RGB plugs should go directly on the RGB header
All in all, great deal for some RGB flair. The fact that the fans can be daisy chained to get to the RGB header made it 10x easier to wire them up without the need to purchase any splitters or control hubs. Note, the lighting will NOT work unless you have 4pin 12v RGB headers on your motherboard or a 4pin lighting control hub.
The fans weren't the absolute easiest to install because the screws stripped really easily. Luckily these were replacing some cheap 3pin non-rgb fans for me so I had some other self threading screws that worked well since 3 of the 15 screwheads stripped when attempting to install.
At 40-50% speed, you can very slightly hear the fans spinning/pushing air, but no rattling or vibration or weird hums. At 60%, they're pretty audible but not too obstructive. Higher than that, they're pretty loud, though tune in your fan profiles so that they don't go very high except at higher temps and you won't be bothered since you'll be immersed in a game or productivity task.
Now, the RGB header extension cord fit perfectly with the fan plugs. But, the end that goes to the RGB header was really loose- it slid off while installing the fans a few times which was obnoxious as I'm working in a fairly small case. The other problem I had was that I was going to split up which fans were going to which header, but the fan RGB chords were even looser on the header. I think they're designed to all plug in together and then into the RGB extension cable as there was nothing for the fan chords to grab onto on the header otherwise. That being said, I found out that my motherboard pushes the same colors to the two RGB fan headers so it didn't matter much anyways.
I didn't notice a huge drop in temperatures after switching from lower RPM lower air pressure 3pin fans, though my thermals are mostly limited by my stock CPU cooler.
All in all, I would recommend these for good budget oriented 12v/4pin RGB fans. If you don't want RGB lighting, you'd get a better value with other fans, though these seem to circulate air well for budget RGB fans.
Edit: When I originally wrote this review, this 5 pack of fans was $35. At the current price of $65, I would absolutely not recommend these.

I would have replaced that 5th fan that did not behave properly had l not sent the whole pack back. But don't get me wrong, these fans are fantastic!
I got them to build a system on a "Lian Li 011 Dynamic" (see the attached pictures) which l ended up returning (I went back to my quiet "BeQuiet! Dark Base 900 Pro").
These fans have excellent airflow, are very quiet even at max. RPMs and look gorgeous. Installation is easy, but a bit annoying due to the many cables you end up with and how long they are. This is not meant as a complain as the cable length is much welcome, especially in big cases. You can daisy chain all the 5 fans and then connect only one of them to your motherboard.
Speaking of 'connecting the fans to the motherboard,' specifically the RGB cable, remember you'll need a 12V header (not a 5V!). My Asus MOBO (C6H) has a 12V RGB header. If yours has a 5V one, then you need to buy the CF120 model.
I compared these fans to my BeQuiet! Silent Wings 3 and, at same RPMs, the difference is not what the price difference suggests (plus the SW3 are not RGB!).
Besides, the package comes with 2 fan hubs; you can plug 4 fans into each hub. I tried the hub with the SW3 and it worked flawlessly (needless to say, the hub also worked with the Deepcool fans).
Excellent value for money and performance!

The fan light connections daisy chain using a custom connector to each other, and a motherboard to custom connector so you can’t use these across multiple computer cases without buying an extra adapter. The fan supply is done via a mother board fan connector to a mini hub (2 are provided which handle 3 fans) and has a sticky pad on rear so it can be secured out of the way, so not a problem if don’t have many spare fan connectors on the motherboard.
They come with fitting screws (quite tight, but work OK).
The fans don’t seem to run very noisy which is good, and provide decent ventilation. Having more fans will likely avoid the need for them to run faster and noisier.
The only slight downside is the light and fan feed leads on the fans are reasonably long, especially if you are mounting them next to each other, so you can have a bit of spare cable to use the supplied ties to keep out of the way.
If you have a RGB motherboard then this is a pretty good value set of illuminated fans, as there seem to be increasingly few out there (most are now aRGB).

And while I had my reservations I have to say that overall I am acutely very impressed with these DeepCool RF120 fans.
Let's get straight to the point why anyone would consider these, you are getting 5x 120mm PWM fans, and they have RGB. Seems too good to be true, right?
Well over the past 3+ months I have been daily driving my system with these fans, a i7-6700k with an RX5700, and I have to say that these fans are legit.
The good:
- Value, 5x fans for $50 (at time of purchase), even for $10 more it is a good deal.
PWM control, it’s 2020 I hate that case OEMs still included 3-pin DC fans, get with the program, very happy these follow the modern standard.
- All fans have rubber feet on both sides of the fan, this matters for dampening vibrations. I was hugely impressed that such a budget fan has this.
- RGB that is quite bright, compared to a single 120mm RGB fan that was included with my Cooler Master MasterLiquid ML120L RGB these RF120 fans are a lot brighter.
- Compatibility with Asus Aura Sync, Gigabyte RGB Fusion, MSI Mystic Light, Asrock Polychrome Sync, these fans work with all of these, I have been using my fans with Aura Sync with no issues at all.
- If your motherboard does not have RGB control you can use the included controller.
- Included PWM fan hubs, this is a must if your motherboard does not have 5+ fan headers (fairly common), so the fact that 2x 4-fan hubs are included is very nice to see, you are not required to spend another $10+ buying some on your own.
The bad:
- I am nitpicking here, but the labels on the back of the fan should be flipped, as shown the stickers are all upside down.
The Meh:
- Relatively quiet, but loud at max RPM. I had low expectations but if you spend some time with custom fan curves and keep these fans at lower RPM they will perform well acoustically. A little loud at higher RPM but within reason, not seen as a negative with budget fans like these.
- Compared to premium RGB fans you lose out on some of the fancy multi-lighting functions but again for the price, not a legitimate complaint. If you like setting fans to static colors these are perfect!
So in conclusion these really do hold up, they work, aren’t overly loud under reasonable RPM, offer good lighting, and come with all the hubs/controllers that would be required for any system. Very impressed with these and I can highly recommend them to anyone interested!
