I've had these for about 6 months. I've been using one controller, and it's been great!

I pulled the second controller out of the packaging for the first time so a friend could play along with me. Unfortunately, it was constantly connecting and disconnecting at the USB. I plugged it in, and it was constantly being registered as being plugged in and unplugged over and over again. Most likely some short in the wire!

I had previous bought iNNEXT SNES controllers in the classic purple, and they both work great! So it didn't ruin the day or anything.

For controllers as inexpensive as this, there's bound to be some quality control issues here and there. I should have plugged them both in to begin with and tested them, but I grew to trust the product after the controllers from my first purchase of the classic purple, and the first multi-color button controller from this purchase were working great.

From the other reviews here, I believe that if I tested the controllers as soon as I got them, found the issue and contacted the seller, they would have replaced the malfunctioning controller for me.

I'm most likely going to order another set, as 3/4 controllers have been great.

TL;DR- good controllers if you understand the limits and expectations.

Full Monty: These are great controllers for the price, even more so if you get lucky on a Warehouse Deal. Feel as good as anything I remember from the 90’s. I have an OTG hub with power attached to my FireStick. In that, I run mouse / keyboard combos, extra storage, and yes, this controller. I’ve only tried one, but I assume both would work simultaneously. The game pads run the native apps and FireOS just like you would expect. Unless you want to sit 5 feet from a 65” face melting QLED screen, consider extensions. Otherwise great for casual gaming situated closer to smaller screens. Mind you, these aren’t for competition gaming. These are casual retro game pads for retro games. I use the HappyChick retro emulator. You’ll have to put on your Google goggles to find it, but if you are familiar with tweaking the FireStick, it’s pretty much a click & run operation. My only complaint is not the fault of the game pads, but the emulators. Most are looking for expanded controllers like the N64, PS, or Xbox controllers. Once you map the buttons for your emulator, you may come up short for newer games. Old stuff, like NES, SNES, Famicom, Super Famicom, SEGA, SEGA MegaDrive, even PS1, will do ok with these controllers. N64 is a bust for most play. MarioCart 64 is impossible without a joystick. Understand what you are looking for and these might fit the bill.

Works great on emulators FCEUX and SNES9X.
Bizhawk will not recognize all of the d-pad inputs, so it is not ideal for that.
Many PC games do not find it as an active controller.

A good controller, not quite of iBuffalo quality. The compatibility limitations are the only notable downside.

Must admit I was really disappointed by this controller. I've bought other knock-off controllers like these before that worked fine, but it's the first time I bought this brand. With 4+ stars and many great reviews, I was positive it would be a great buy for the price, but it just does not work! I've tried it on Raspberry Pi running Retropie 4.3, Windows 7, Windows 10... is does not work properly. It only registers some buttons when configuring the pad, sometimes I need to press really hard to register the button being pressed. Sometimes even after the setup is complete, when playing any game, some buttons just don't work. Really disappointed. Some people had theirs working, so I guess it's hit or miss like any product of this quality and category. At this point, I don't recommend this product.

UPDATE: Right after I posted my review above, I was contacted by the seller and he offered me a replacement to fix the issue, and i am glad to say that not only the replacement arrived quickly, but worked better than the original, so I updated my original review from 1 star to 5 stars. This is a very serious seller and highly recommended. Best treatment I've ever had on Amazon. Thank you!

I *loved* these controllers for the first three months that I had them. Great feel, worked well, and a good throwback to my childhood. I used them occasionally, a few times a week when gaming. But then out of nowhere, the controller failed and the computer stopped recognizing it. My suspicion is that a loose wire prevents the computer from recognizing the driver via the USB cable. Since then the controller sometimes works, sometimes not, but even when it does, it will cut out in the middle of a game, rendering it useless. Too bad, because I really liked it when it worked. But with this durability issue, I really can't recommend it.

Edit: the company reached out and offered to replace the defective controller, pursuant to its warranty. That seems fair, so I'm adjusting this review to reflect their kind and rapid customer service.

For the price these controllers to me are amazing. The buttons all work perfectly and the dpad is great. The Dpad has a satisfying almost clicky but not clicky feel to it (if that makes sense). Like not mushy but not clicky somewhere in between. The buttons are very responsive and plays emulation great. I tested it on a Super Mario World hack and it worked very well rocking the dpad back and forth to control Mario in the air. The only downside, if any, is the body of the controller does not seem super strong. It seems upon first impressions like it would flex but it did not and does seem strong enough it's just compared to my Snes Classic controller the body is definitely not as rock solid as that one is. But it doesnt matter when using it I did not notice any flex or weakness just thought I would point it out.
Also guess what? You get 2 controllers! Definitely worth the buy and thanks for the great controllers. Now I just need to up my Mario game.

At 20$ for 2 of these... can't really complain.

They are very light and feel a bit cheap but not "crazy" cheap. There isn't really any flex or weird noises when squeezing them. The controller themselves feel close enough to the original and the buttons have good tactile feel.

The dpad works well enough (I'd say much better than an xbox controller dpad for example) but it's not as good as the original snes dpad.

The cable is short so you might need a USB extension if you're sitting on your couch (luckily I had a bunch laying around).

They were recognized right out of the box by my raspberry pi and they work with every game I tried.

Some people have mentioned "input lag" with these controller. I can say that even with a USB extension, there is no noticeable input lag. Just make sure your TV is in "game mode" or that you play on an actual CRT TV.

Bought these to use with my Raspberry Pi. On arrival however they were scratched up and one has some deep scoring like they were used? One of them works OK but the other one has a really bad drift issue like if I use Down on the D-Pad it often finishes with 1 Right input which is very frustrating when navigating menus. I bought these hoping to get a newer model ala the last few reviews have mentioned they received but I’m afraid I received a reboxed return of the bummer model :( I’m probably going to ship mine back

E-Shopaholic got back to me and offered to rectify the situation. They sent me replacement controllers and we’re very apologetic about the first ones I received. I have to mention though that the replacements came in a bag that was filled with an orange oily liquid that was very unpleasant to handle, smelled terrible and got everywhere... but the controllers inside were just fine so I can’t knock them for that. They said they don’t know what it could be so I guess I’ll never know. All in all, my experience was a 4/5 with this company.
