Installed the ARC Audio DAC on my 1999 vintage Arcam Alpha system. Needed a DAC to connect the TV and the Arcam Alpha 9 amp is analog input only. The sound was very good. Very good build quality. At $30 -- a good value. I opted for a Schiit Modi Multibit 2 that cost $300 and was better. If you only got $30, then the ARC DAC is fine. The analog audio output level is a bit low, so the volume level is significantly lower that other inputs to my Alpha 9 amp and therefore necessitates a volume control adjustment.
If you got $60, you will do better with the Fosi Audio A4. The volume control worked well to balance the volume with the other system inputs. The tone controls were very good.

It took a bit of research to find this and it was worth it. I updated my TV to a QLED “The Frame” and needed a way to hook it up to my whole home analog wired sound system in the ceiling. Amazingly easy with this small box utilizing two male split analog speaker cables and an Optical Eye cable. I had also tried it with a HDMIe cable but it didn’t work with the sound system... the Optical Eye cable worked perfectly. Luckily, this box offers both an HDMIe and Optical Eye port. i had accidentally ordered two and am not returning the additional box since it will be put to use with another TV replacement in another room.
