I taught pre-school for 5 years in Broward County, FL. This would be a book for our school library! Not only does it have delightful pictures and a wonderful story line, it also teaches a moral. In a very multi-cultural arena this is the perfect little book!! Kudos to the author for such a charming first-published book. I'm sure we'll see more from this talented young author.

I absolutely loved this book by a brand new author. The wonderfulfantasy names & places are reminiscent of "Wicked" in language children can understand. This lovely book is just plain fun. What a breath of fresh air.I am adding this as an extra to our Adult Book Club reading list.It makes you realize how children see the good in people when adults have forgotten that lesson. This book reiterates that when people look or speak differently, that is a cause for celebration, not intolerance.Way to go, Meeta, I can't wait for the next book about the Adventures of Cookie The Clown !!!

This book is an excellent way of teaching children multi-cultural diversity through fun, laughter and fantasy. Cookie the Clown and her family who journey from Clownika, the homeland of real clowns, into our human world. They begin living among Gudigads (what the clowns call us) and become minorities in our world. The book characters and illustrations really makes you feel good. It's a book that children will enjoy reading over and over again.
