I found a recipe I wanted to try -" Fluffy southern Biscuit" recipe. I have been trying to get biscuits right and just couldn't succeed. I ordered these round cutters, then read the reviews. Some were negative about the flimsiness of them. I wasn't sure it would be adequate. They arrived in less than 24 hours from ordering!!!. I found them to be fine for cutting the dough. I used the largest one. If you think about it, the thin metal will make a cleaner cut than thicker metal. It did not bend out of shape. I hand washed them and dried with a kitchen towel. The recipe said not to twist it when cutting dough, as it affects the ability of dough to rise. (I guess it pinches it tightly together or something.) Just push the cylinder down onto the dough and lift. (I used to use a glass, but the dough was hard to release from glass.) This cutter gave me a tray of perfect biscuits. I immediately ate one of them just out of the oven with local honey and they were great. I will carefully store them in the box they arrived in for my next effort. I am very pleased with these, for the minimal investment.
