I heard about this cookbook from a few friends at church and decided to give it a try. I spent many years in Greece but never learned how to make any of my mother and grandmother's recipes. I was too busy eating them.
I've only had the book 2 days but already made the bifteki and macaronia with kima recipes and they did not disappoint. The flavor profile is excellent and brings me right back to my grandmother's dinner table.
The most mind-blowing part for me is the fact that I went to the worldwidegreeks forum and asked a question about the bifteki recipe that I was unclear about. I wasn't expecting much but chef Pemi ACTUALLY RESPONDED and helped me. Thank you chef Pemi! I can't wait to tackle moussaka....expect some more questions from me:)
