I enjoyed this book and the introduction to Mill Pond, a place I am sure I will visit again. Main characters Tessa and Ian are extremely likable, along with several secondary characters who keep the plot moving forward at a steady clip. I loved the "small town" environment. What made this book really fun for me is that it doesn't follow the normal romance formula. Ian and Tessa start off as friends and their relationship develops at a believable pace. Everyone else can see they're perfect for each other but it takes some time for them to realize it too. Getting there is a fun and entertaining journey. I look forward to the next Mill Pond romance.

This series is awesome! This is just the first book and already I'm hooked! I loved the honesty of these characters and how they grew from page one until the final period. I was really pulling for their love to find a way over the hurdles. The story kept my attention from the very first page, as a matter of fact, if you buy this, make sure you have enough leftovers to serve your family for dinner because you're not going to want to put this one down!

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this story. It was lighthearted and entertaining. I especially liked Tessa. She’s a small-town girl with integrity who refused to break up a doomed relationship just because she had fallen for the handsome and charming Ian. I thought it was funny how she had to come to Ian’s rescue several times in the story. One word of warning – do not read this book hungry. Trouble wasn’t the only thing being cooked up!

I loved all of the characters in this book. Tessa is strong, independent, and has decided to give up on men. When a handsome guy from New York moves in next door, he doesn't even know how to change a flat tire. Of course, the two of them become close--too bad he has an attractive fiancee who visits him every weekend. If you like romance, but can't stand helpless women, you'll love this novel.
