Secondly and my biggest complaint, don't get the wrong impression, like I did, that you can search anywhere on the web for recipes because most of the places I wanted to get recipes doesn't work; a message comes up saying 'can't capture recipe because formatting is unknown.' So your choice is to write the recipe down and then enter it into Cook'n or to click back and forth between browser and Cook'n. Both annoying and tedious.
I also have quite a few recipes I've typed into MS Excel over the years and there is no easy way, that I can see, without retyping the whole thing to transfer them to this program.
I am skeptical about the nutritional information too as I'm looking at certain recipes some ingredients don't have calories. Who knew you could buy tofu and cauliflower with no calories in it? So if you are going to rely on this aspect you would carefully have to go through all the recipes. I was also very surprised it doesn't give you a per serving calorie count only a whole dish one, so I have to get out my calculator to figure it per serving.
Overall, not happy with this, it is slow and I used it for less than 10 hours probably and it has already crashed 5 times. I would expect for $79.99 something that performs better.
UPDATE: After contacting Amazon and DVO Enterprises, and waiting for a few days, I received an email from DVO with instructions on how to download the most recent version of the software, and it does search the internet correctly.
I thought that perhaps the program became corrupted so I untinstalled and reinstalled several times, per instructions from DVO, but it still wouldn't work.
So I downloaded it from Amazon. Not only was Amazon's version much smaller, but it didn't work either.
It's now uninstalled. :(
