That's about the only scene in this film that made any kinda earthly sense.

excellent film. Rob Van Winkle is actually a very under-rated and believable action star.

Just kidding. but the movie's great. I rate this right up there with films like The Room. it's one of those films that makes you think.

There are super hero movies, there is what Martin Scorsese calls “cinema”, then there is Cool as Ice. This movie exists to remind us that the 90’s weren’t as awesome as we remember. It’s a highly entertaining train wreck and the perfect thing to show your kids so they are totally convinced you’re not cool, nor have you ever been. How Rob Van Winkle didn’t get an Oscar nod for this escapes me.

this is not 5 stars for Amazon.. after renting this, it wouldn't let me watch it.. so i ended up renting it on i tunes instead and getting charged for both.. but it's TOTALLY WORTH IT!

Cool as Ice is an amazing biopic that dives into the depth that is Vanilla Ice. His range, his vocals, his action scenes, his amazing pants... i would certainly herald him as the next Hugh Jackman or Gerard Butler. It's rare you come across a jem like this that did not receive the critical acclaim it is deserved. I want to own this. No, I want to own 2 copies, so one of them i can keep in an exquisite leather box to be willed to my children so it is never forgotten.

In all truth, this is EPICally bad. it's beyond words, and ironically, my daily repertoire is now a slurry of Cool as Ice quotes that i wish more people could join me in or at least get it. WATCH THIS. it's pure gold.

I like this movie since I was about 15 years old and my sister brought the tape with it home. She borrowed it only for three days, but I saw it three times by then. It even encouraged me to listen ( and try to rap myself ) his first album "To the extreme". But that was long time ago when I was teenager.

Stil 15 years later, I had to order this DVD, because I remember wanting it always, but as student I couldn't afford it. And that's how I got into writing this review, as I want to share my excitement about this movie with everyone else.

It's possible that being a fan of Vanilla Ice and liking his music goes hand in hand with liking this movie, so I can imagine that for someone who doesn't like his music ( or image ), this movie is nothing special. But there is still some chance that he or she might like it.

The movie is full of music ( rap or hip-hop mainly ), dancing, colors and nature. Plus a lot of beautiful slow motions of some dancing/breakdancing figures. Naomi Campbell as a lead singer in the theme song, and fast motorbikes scenes at the begining signify the happy and fearless nature of whole movie.

The storyline is quite simple. A love story between Vanilla Ice and suburban, cute, "almost" college girl named Kate. They met after forced stop for repair of his friend's bike. Evening's perfect opportunity for going out / disco and the romance can slowly unfold.

I watched this movie when I was a teenager and I was mesmerized by it.
It run on TV during our summer holidays one year and I liked it that I could compare it all to our area of the world. I think I idolised US back then too much but I liked the main storyline (about two teenagers) and... yes, begun dreaming of a boyfriend on a bike.

Watching it now, some 20 years later, brings a whole new gamut of emotions but it's cute to see it all again.

Would love to see a sequel or something, despite bad reviews. Adult it up, if you like.

Vanilla Ice, who didn't like him? And surprisingly a fair good actor..., Who knew?!
I love motorbikes (though don't own one) and that was a big lure to this film too. Its easy watching and my kids thought it was really great and have now watched it 4 times since I got it the other week.
If I was pressed to put it as something I'd say it was a teen romance as there is no sex scenes, no swearing that I spotted and no nudity...., just some kissing which isn't steamy...., the story isn't too bad either.

It came within the time given, packaging was fit for purpose.
Good film and do recommend.
