Yo VIP, let's kick it
Ice, ice baby
Ice, ice baby
Alright stop, collaborate and listen
Ice is back with my brand new invention
Something grabs a hold of me tightly
Flow like a harpoon daily and nightly
Will it ever stop? Yo, I don't know
Turn off the lights, and I'll glow
To the extreme, I rock a mic like a vandal
Light up a stage and wax a chump like a candle
Dance, go rush to the speaker that booms
I'm killing your brain like a poisonous mushroom
Deadly, when I play a dope melody
Anything less than the best is a felony
Love it or leave it, you better gangway
You better hit bull's eye, the kid don't play
If there was a problem, yo, I'll solve it
Check out the hook while my DJ revolves it
Ice, ice baby
Vanilla Ice, ice baby
Vanilla Ice, ice baby
Vanilla Ice, ice baby
Vanilla
Now that the party is jumping
With the bass kicked in, and the Vegas are pumping
Quick to the point, to the point, no faking
Cooking MCs like a pound of bacon
Burning them, if you ain't quick and nimble
I go crazy when I hear a cymbal
And a hi-hat with a souped up tempo
I'm on a roll, it's time to go solo
Rollin' in my 5.0
With my rag-top down so my hair can blow
The girlies on standby, waving just to say "Hi"
"Did you stop?" No, I just drove by
Kept on, pursuing to the next stop
I busted a left, and I'm heading to the next block
The block was dead, yo
So I continued to A1A Beachfront Avenue
Girls were hot wearing less than bikinis
Rockman lovers driving Lamborghinis
Jealous, 'cause I'm out getting mine
Shay with a gauge, and Vanilla with a nine
Ready for the chumps on the wall
The chumps acting ill because they're full of eight ball
Gunshots rang out like a bell
I grabbed my nine, all I heard were shells
Falling on the concrete real fast
Jumped in my car, slammed on the gas
Bumper to bumper, the avenue's packed
I'm trying to get away before the jackers jack
Police on the scene, you know what I mean
They passed me up, confronted all the dope fiends
If there was a problem, yo, I'll solve it
Check out the hook while my DJ revolves it
Ice, ice baby
Vanilla Ice, ice baby
Vanilla Ice, ice baby
Vanilla Ice, ice baby
Vanilla
Take heed cause I'm a lyrical poet
Miami's on the scene, just in case you didn't know it
My town, that created all the bass sound
Enough to shake and kick holes in the ground
'Cause my style's like a chemical spill
Feasible rhymes that you can vision and feel
Conducted and formed, this is a hell of a concept
We make it hype, and you want to step
With this, Shay plays on the fade
Slice like a ninja, cut like a razor blade
So fast, other DJs say "Damn!"
If my rhyme was a drug, I'd sell it by the gram
Keep my composure, when it's time to get loose
Magnetized by the mic while I kick my juice
If there was a problem, yo, I'll solve it
Check out the hook while D-Shay revolves it
Ice, ice baby

Yo man, let's get out of here
Word to your mother
Ice, ice baby, too cold
Ice, ice baby, too cold, too cold

Leonard Plinth Carnell would say:
“Simply awful!”
Truly an embarrassment. I was embarrassed
for “Vanilla Ice” and everyone in this stinker.
I rented the movie and have not watched the regular version yet. I bought the RiffTrax version for humorous reasons and it was hilarious. Not sure I can watch the regular version now. I may try for a refund since I have not watched a second of it.

The only reason Cool as Ice gets the "almost" award is because everyone knows the best film ever made is Road House with Patrick Swayze. If you are waiting for your new Road House DVD (because the other one wore out) or letting it cool down because the of the laser heat, you should be watching Cool as Ice.
Not since the release of the Where is Waldo? series on books on tape has there been a more anticipated release. This new DVD brings Robert Van Winkle's acting talent to the masses. VHS' of this movie could be found in the $100.00 range.
This is the 1991 story of a misunderstood tough guy with a good hart, Johnny Van Owen, falling in love with a goody-two shoes honor student, Kathy, who is hotter than her GPA would suggest. Ironically, Kathy's parents hide a dark secret.
The movie has been compared to a modern day Rebel Without a Cause; but this does a disservice to Cool as Ice. The only similarities are a leather jacket and a motorcycle.
The supporting cast is rounded out by can't miss favorites Michael Gross (Family Ties), Bobby Brown, and Naomi Campbell.
This addition includes the music sound track on a seperate CD. This allows you to appricate the quality of the sound track independant of the film. It is tight, moving and really the voice of early-1990s middle class suburban white teenage angst. By not relying on his prior hits, Vanilla Ice shows you his musical range and provides a personal journey into his soul. He also is proud about achieving a People's Choice Award as it is mentioned several times in two songs and is the title of one of the ditties. His ability to say VIP 37 times in one song is a testiment to his impact on the Rap community. Vanilla Ice made it possible for people like Marshall Mathers to be taken seriously as rap artists.

I like this movie since I was about 15 years old and my sister brought the tape with it home. She borrowed it only for three days, but I saw it three times by then. It even encouraged me to listen ( and try to rap myself ) his first album "To the extreme". But that was long time ago when I was teenager.
Stil 15 years later, I had to order this DVD, because I remember wanting it always, but as student I couldn't afford it. And that's how I got into writing this review, as I want to share my excitement about this movie with everyone else.
It's possible that being a fan of Vanilla Ice and liking his music goes hand in hand with liking this movie, so I can imagine that for someone who doesn't like his music ( or image ), this movie is nothing special. But there is still some chance that he or she might like it.
The movie is full of music ( rap or hip-hop mainly ), dancing, colors and nature. Plus a lot of beautiful slow motions of some dancing/breakdancing figures. Naomi Campbell as a lead singer in the theme song, and fast motorbikes scenes at the begining signify the happy and fearless nature of whole movie.
The storyline is quite simple. A love story between Vanilla Ice and suburban, cute, "almost" college girl named Kate. They met after forced stop for repair of his friend's bike. Evening's perfect opportunity for going out / disco and the romance can slowly unfold.
