Cool Cards: Creating Fun and Fascinating Collections! (Cool Collections (Checkerboard)) Library Binding – July 1, 2006
Top Customer Reviews
It appears to cover all the angles that appeal to (mostly) young boys & men. Of course there are also girls who collect sets of cards: from mini pet animals to Olympic stars, and Pokemon to Zoo Specimens, with maybe some cheerleaders thrown in.
Some of the author's tips include a Glossary, and pages about Organization & Storage. The "Elements of a Sports Card" could even apply to "ARTIST CARDS" which are ONLY traded. Enthusiasts who make & trade "atc" should take a detour to their libraries AND/OR amazon.com's helpful listings of books available under that more specialized (and CREATIVE) hobby.
There are just 32 pages in the book, offering some history tid-bits and pictorial highlights. Anders Hanson has compiled this overview for young ((elementary - middle school)) collectors, or "would-be's" and it is part of a popular series often found in libraries. If you scroll through Google OR amazon.com, you might locate a similar title with a more interesting format.
