I think this would be a perfect mouse for me if it wasn't for the company backing it. I knocked it down two stars for two reasons:
1) The mouse wheel developed squeaky-ear-piercing sound after 2 months of use. Not like a small squeak or squeal, but similar to a noisy shopping cart. I have a lower cost CM MM531 mouse that I was using before this that never had this issue. While it doesn't affect how it performs, it's constant squeaking is annoying and irritating.
2) Cooler Master's RMA process is outdated and pretty stupid. My issue is that they make you pay for shipping to have their defective products returned to them. If your product is broken and well within the warranty period, why should you pay MORE money to receive one that works? Even the lesser known and smaller brands offer immediate refunds/replacements for defective products or will send you a label to return it back to them on their dime.
Luckily, Amazon came to the rescue. I told them the situation, explained how ridiculous Cooler Masters RMA/Return Policy is and they offered to make amends for me.
TBH, this mouse is great for what it's supposed to do. Yes, the wheel was squeaky, but for the time that it worked as it should have, it's been one of my favorites. However, with Cooler Masters RMA/Return Policies, I wouldn't recommend it or any other Cooler Master product unless the retailer you purchased it from is willing to honor the warranty for you.
What's perfect about this and other CoolerMaster devices is that you get the freedom to customize 100% of the buttons — not "almost all the buttons" like other manufacturers. Combine this with the built-in on-board profile storage, and you've got a winning combination. I'm easily able to use this with my Mac Pro by first mapping the buttons in a Windows VM, and then using Karabiner in macOS to write my macros/functions. The ability to do this has made a world of difference to my workflow as a developer.
In addition to everything I've already mentioned, CoolerMaster's decision to include Qi-compliant charging has made switching from wired to wireless an effortless endeavor. At the end of my day, I just place the mouse on the charging pad, and it's ready to go for tomorrow. What more could you want? Keep doing the most, CM!
Upon watching the video it had some cool features like the lcd screen etc. I received it and immediately tried it out. It is wider and noticeably heavier than the 502 with weights removed. The buttons on the side in my opinion are terrible. They are small and hard pressed. The one towards the front and back of the mouse are not only a tough stretch but also small and hard to press in an intense moment of a BR match. The software is neat but needs some work. It would randomly stop the lcd panel on the side. But it would still keep the hotkeys? After 1 hour I was back to the 502. I’m wanting the same style as 502 just wider. I love all the buttons that are easily accessible and programmable. Logitech has the best scroll wheel in the game.
If you can’t put up with weight and hard to press side buttons it’s a solid mouse. Just not for me.
Hope this helps!
So I figured a simple warranty request repair would solve the problem. So I created the warranty request 2 months ago and not a single reply or response from them!! And there is no other way to contact them about this issue. What good is a mouse if there is no warranty support!
Update 9/2020: I had two of these - and now the second mouse wheel has started to loudly squeak! There are obvious design problems with this mouse - and it should be avoided.

1. Looks nice
2. Feels nice in the hand
Bad:
1. No software from the manufacturer. Their website contradicts itself on two different pages - one says it's compatible with the software, and another says it isn't, but ultimately the software doesn't detect it once installed.
2. Perhaps due to the above, there are only so many colour choices for the LED, meanwhile the Cooler Master keyboard I have has far more colour options. Kinda limited if I want them to match.
3. Most importantly of all, the battery life is AWFUL. Maybe 10-12 hrs tops, and that's being generous. It's even worse on the Bluetooth setting.
I wanted to like it, but I ended up returning it.

Ventajas:
- Buen DPI
- Muy cómodo (Igual de cómodo que el G502 Hero)
- Buena construcción.
- Buena iluminación RGB
- Buena presición
Desventajas
- Botones muy duros
- Clicks muy duros
- Muy pesado
- Software terrible
¿Lo recomendaría? Si vale menos de $1000 MXN, si.
¿Hay mejores opciones? Definitivamente si.
although it was flashy, PoS died within a week.
maybe i jus had faulty mouse or jus bad luck.
wasted almost $50 Canadian....
i did restart my system multiple times an tried all the usb ports, still the same problem, even on my sisters mac.
The LED screen is more or less a gimmick, but a nice one. The D-Pad is great and extremely useful, especially if you like to assign various productivity gestures or just for MMORPGs in general.
For me, the best thing about the mouse is the PBT material as it feels great in my hand. I have sweaty palms and the textured PBT material really helps with comfort during long hours of gaming or work.
