Product Description

The Elite 431 plus builds upon cooler master expertise and delivers high-end features in the affordable market space. Cooler master believes that just because something is affordable, it doesn't have to lack features or be a "budget" Product. The Elite 431 plus features a classic Black cooler master design with clean, yet attractive lines. Perfect for PC Nerds. NERDS!!!!
Upgraded to ATX size from micro. This tower has tons of ventilation, looks good, and has tons of extra pieces to hold your junk. It is very sturdy and extremely lightweight. Solid and well built. The glass side panel is high quality and looks nice. It is very easy to remove and reinstall. I had more than enough screws and clips, etc, for all the crap I crammed in there. It has tons of room, very spacious for your wires and plugs and fans. I got fans all over it and there's room for more. The side window is nice enough to install a mechanical puppet show with dancing marionettes that are plugged into the Motherboard where passersby can put in a quarter to activate and get some laughs and thrills, which I'm going to do.

I bought this case because the one that I wanted to use to do a build this weekend was not in stock, and I wanted to build my daughter a super computer for graphics and gaming and photo shop. As a matter of fact, after the build, I ordered another one for the next build, because I liked hers so much I had to have one for me. This case is well built, and comes with one blue lit 120mm front fan. I has slots for the rear fan and two upper fans, and a lower fan, so cooling will never be a problem. I also like the USB 3.0 panel on the front, and in the in the middle slot there is a cover which when pulled leads to a hot slot for an full size hard drive, all you have to do during the build is plug in a Sata and Power Cable, and you can slide your hard drive in and out. I used an Intel Extreme board and everything fit perfect with room to spare. The EVGA 660ti was a tight, but it is up and running and looks very professional and looks expensive. One other feature I really liked was the power supply mount is on the bottom rear of the case and this makes it stable and not top heavy. So if your are looking for a professional and expensive looking Mid Tower Computer Case with USB 3.0 and windowed side panel with locking sliders, you will not be disappointed. Some other food for thought. WHEN BUILDING, DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN THE BRASS STANDOFFS. I USE LOCKTIGHT AND JUST SNUG EM GOOD! I liked is so well as I said above, I built me one. Below is my build, all from Amazon.

This case has great features and lots of room for the price. I especially like that you can remove BOTH side panels, as the motherboard installs on a separate panel that allows removal of the side panel beneath it (right side panel). The panels fit perfectly and are very easy to remove and re-install.

I also like the drive bays. The case comes with tool-less rails, but you also have the option of installing the drives and devices with screws instead (as I prefer for better stability). An ample amount of screws comes with the case for this purpose. The black interior is also a nice feature.

As others here have mentioned, the thickness of the metal case is a bit on the thin side. The advantage of this is it decreased the weight of my system. If you are going to be transporting your system around a lot, you might want a thicker case, as it would be easy to dent this one. But if you are just leaving your PC in one place, I don't see a problem with the thinner metal.

I like the clear viewing panel, also. It shows just enough of the PC's internals. (I really didn't buy a case for show, as I'm not a gamer, but now that I have a case with a clear side panel, I can easily show off my PC to my friends, so that is a nice feature. Plus, I can observe the cooling fans and motherboard LED lights as I fine-tune the settings.

The case has plenty of room inside for drives and other components. I had no problem routing my cables and making everything look neat. I really like having the power supply mount on the bottom of the case. Unlike most other cases that mount the power supply unit near the top, having this heavy component on the bottom keeps the build bottom-heavy for added stability.

There are plenty of places to add case fans. The bottom, front, and rear fan openings can take any of the three common size case fans. The two openings on the top can only accept the largest size fans. You have plenty of options for directing airflow through the case to meet your specific needs. The one fan that does come with the case is mounted in the front and has blue LEDs in it for a neat effect that is visible through the front of the PC. I mounted a similar fan on the rear panel blowing outward, so the LEDs give off a fair amount of light inside the case to help illuminate the components.

In summary, this is an excellent case for the price and should meet the needs of most system builders. You can spend a lot more if you want something fancier to show off, but if you're on a budget and want a good looking case that is very functional and builder-friendly, you should strongly consider this case. I would buy it again.

Bought this for my son for Christmas for his (our) first computer build. My main criteria, beyond just being good quality, was front panel usb 3.0 which this case has. The sleek flat black look and good price were the deal closers.

We have few complaints. Everything fit, no sharp edges, opens and closes easily, etc. Plenty of choices for where and how to mount fans. The installation diagrams left a lot to be desired but fortunately the cables were reasonably labeled and even neophytes like us were able to figure out where to attach what. (Fortunately the mother board documentation was better). Some reviews reported damage on delivery but ours was perfect.

Minor complaints: poor documentation, as I said; the 3.5 drive installation bays have a clever screwless design but we struggled with how to get them to work; the card slot covers were a bear to get off. All in all though we are satisfied, especially for the price.

The description of this didn't make it clear (to me, at least) that it comes with a blue LED fan, which was a nice bonus.

I think convention dictates that we are supposed to list our build components: ASRock z87 extreme 4 mobo; corsair 600w ps; intel i5 4760k CPU; coolermaster hyper evo 212 CPU fan; and an old low end gpu too embarrassing to list (budget ran out before we got to the graphics card!)

Now I was very nervous with all the mixed reviews on here, I was worried I would not be able to fit all my stuff in this case. When I got it it was somewhat of easy set-up since its been years since I have put together a tower. I was looking for something smaller and lighter, with some extra things. My old case Cooler Master Haf 912 or something along those lines was good, but too heavy and big and rattled, it was something I didn't have a choice with at the time. Now I looked around on black Friday to see if I could find something I liked and came across this. I love it but was not happy with some things. One thing is the back part where you have the slots and the front with the cd drive part, I do not like that you have to break the metal in order to put something in, and the drive space seems a bit cheap with these lock things. I see why people were complaining about that. Overall though the case is fine, and I actually have better airflow in this thing than I did in my old case which is great, and love the little window to see whats going on in there. Though being that the case is smaller, its hard to hide the cables, but I managed the best I could and think it turned out fine. I am happy and glad I didn't spend much on it. (in the photo I swap the front blue fan it came with 140 size one and moved the other to the back)
