It power supply runs my whole machine with no problems. The fan just happens to be perfectly positioned to blow out the bottom of my case so that's a plus. I like the modular design a lot. Really, unless you're running something really extreme, you can't go wrong with this.

Doesn't work for me with my case, as it has no silent padding and has a large window. Bought it from Fry's w/ a $20 rebate (never turned it in) for a total of $74.

Modularity: Definitely helps with cable management.

Noise: Horrible fan noise. After installing Noctua fans in my system, I realized how loud this thing is. Now it's annoying the heck out of me.

Also, The main cables going to the motherboard look quite ugly at the ends, as the sleeving ends and various colored cables are showing. Doesn't matter, unless you like a clean system.

So far so good with this unit. Solid build quality and no issues. PSU is quiet and relatively attractive. The only negative in my opinion is that they included a GPU power rail as part of the cables that are not modular, (MOBO/CPU power) Since I used this in a mini ITX build with a skylake CPU and MOBO with dual on board HDMI capable of 4K, I did not intend to use a video card and could have saved some much needed space in the build. If that cable was strictly modular, meaning you can unplug it if not desired, it would be great.

Stated in the title of the product mentions that it is"Perfect for Mini-ITX Builds". However that does not turn out to be the case. I was looking into a PSU since I'm currently under going an ITX build at the moment when I came across this PSU I was thrilled since I had finally found a PSU that was 550W. Upon opening the item and knowing from just looking at the sheer size of the unit that it would most certainly not fit into an ITX case build. Did not use the product so it may be a decent PSU, but the misleading information in the title is why I'm rating this so low. Buying parts online really depends on the information that is given. It does state the dimensions for this product under "Product Details". So lesson learned, do not depend on what is written within the title. When building a pc do additional research into the item before buying.

Had to buy a new PSU since I changed my graphic card and it demanded a huge amount of power (the curse of buying an R9).
This PSU delivered and it didn't even flinch!
It comes with a lot of cables that you can use to power whatever element you need. I didn't have any difficulties installing it and connecting it to my motherboard and other peripherals.
So far it's handling everything with ease and i would definitely recommend it!

Semi-modular, 50-plus bronze, 550W power supply for a decent price. It doesn't come with zip straps, but cable management was easy enough. Plugged-in and replaced my old 300W psu with no issues. Since it has a 5 year warranty included, I have no doubt that this psu will outlive the rest of my components. Would buy from coolermaster again, very high-quality and nice looking psu for the price.
