This is so damned cool. I'm 75 years old and I think it's really so cool.

I have my computer in a workstation that is built into a cabinet. It's a small but handsome hand-crafted piece of furniture. Unfortunately, it is in a spot that is difficult to light well. After struggling with it for some years, I decided to get a backlit keyboard and ran across this one. What a great find.

First of all, I can actually see the keys. I touch type but not real well and I lose my place often. Now I can look down and find the danged key. In the semi-dark. The tray is not only backlighted but the light shines through the letters on the keys, too.

And the mechanical keys work really well and smoothly. Kind of soothing that they go clickety clack too. And they are solid. The keyboard is steel and totally rigid. Fits right into the slideout tray on my workstation.

I should mention that I only use the white option for the keys and backlighting. You can make it purple and green and blue,but I cannot imagine why. You can make it so the light waxes and wanes in rhythm for some reason. I don't do that. Weird.

First Mechanical Keyboard and it is great!

Received the keyboard today! So far so good. I went with the Cherry MX Brown because I didn't want to be noisy. I am using this on a iMac. Sadly that means I cannot install the Masterkeys application that supports the keyboard. The software only works on Windows OSes. However, the keyboard still works on the mac. I just have to do all the settings and color changes from the keyboard.

As a newbie to mechanical keyboards I recommend this one as a great beginner. The build quality is solid and it feels like time went into it. The packaging was solid. However, I am sad that after two days the price dropped by 20 dollars... It arrived before the date specified in shipping.

This Keyboard is overall great. I love the authentic Cherry MX Blue implementation, RGB lighting and software option :3
Pros: -Bullet-Proof construction, heavy and sturdy
-Great, sturdy feeling when typing, thanks to that metal plate behind the switches for durability.
-The customization for the RGB lighting, pretty much endless (even if your a freak about customization like me XD)
-Has a detachable micro-usb port and comes with a good, braided cable. This is my go-to feature to look for when buying keyboards. (Mini or Micro USB).
-The Cherry MX Blue's feel great on this keyboard, and not mushy like some plastic keyboards do. Clickity-clack.

Cons: These are all the cons i can think about, mostly personal preference.
-The outer case count be metal, something that's really hard to find these days :/
-The Key Caps. I replaced these key caps with Dye-subbed double shot PBT gradient key caps from Massdrop. The stock key caps are decent, but ehh... I can't give up the sturdy, stubbornly stiff chalky-hard feeling of Double shot PBT. They feel amazing to type on (especially with Blues) and they never wear out, shine or show fingerprints, but i can't complain because one thing to note though is that Dye-subbed Double Shot PBT key caps with custom color, like gradient is VERY EXPENSIVE to buy, well for key caps. A full set retails for $80+ and tenkeyless being $60+. If CM put custom double shot PBT key caps on this keyboard, it would easily be at least $200.
-The only, last thing i can think about for CM to improve on this keyboard is to add USB passthrough :3

Overall, a great simplistic keyboard that has a ton of features and feels great to game and type on. I would recommend this to anybody building a new PC set up, or looking to buy a new keyboard (but of course i would hound them to change the key caps XD).

Updated: Great keyboard for great price

Update 3/3/17: Turned out I had accidentally turned on the repeat rate! Since this was the case, I returned the replacement I got and am keeping the keyboard. Keys feel crisp, LEDs work as expected (or better), and it is generally a joy to use. Definitely an excellent bang for your buck if you want a good mechanical keyboard with RGB LEDs to play around with.

I ordered this keyboard and got my first one about a week ago. Build quality looked great, keyboard felt great, keycaps feel great, LEDs work great out of the box with the presets and are relatively intuitive to change using the keyboard. (Though, for keycaps with a symbol near the bottom the LED visibly fades in brightness, so lighting isn't totally even, but it is bright and vibrant enough to impress most people.)

The issue I'm dealing with right now is that I'm on the second keyboard and both ended up with the same problem about 2 minutes after being plugged into my computer. I tested the first keyboard on my desktop, second on my macbook laptop. Both seemed to work fine, but then after playing with the LED settings I set about actually using them to type and got repeating letters with a single keystroke. This renders the keyboard useless. I'm wondering if it is a software issue now, since both boards have the same issue and no one else has seemed to have this problem (that I noticed). The first time it happened, I removed the keycaps for several keys and pressed the actual switch mechanism myself and experienced the same issue - so it isn't something wonky with striking the keycaps off center or anything.

I'm planning to do some more troubleshooting and update this review, but if I can't find a simple solution to this I'm just going to return it and buy a Razor BlackWidow Tournament edition instead. I already have one for work and though it isn't as impressive in some ways as the MasterKeys Pro S (no CherryMX blues, less elegant design, higher price, etc) I at least can use it for typing. Not much I can do with a pretty keyboard that leaves myyyyy typiiiing liiiiike thiiiiiiiiiiiisss. ::::((
