Cooler Master developed the V-Series to re-ascertain its position as the world's top power supply brand. Based on a brand new platform, V-Series power supplies feature outstanding efficiency, especially at typical low idle loads, excellent hold up times, voltage stability, and ripple suppression. Only the highest grade Japanese capacitors are used, most of them solid capacitors, as well as a massive high quality 42mm transformer. Also, thanks to high quality FDB fans, V-Series PSUs are extremely cool and quiet. The V-Series uses a fully modular cable system with beautiful all black, extra slim flat-ribbon cables, which make cable management a breeze and results in nice looking, clean builds with the best possible airflow.

This power supply is a little bit more expensive than others, but I'm telling you, that little bit extra goes a LONG way in quality.
First off, the components they use are some of the best, made by Seasonic. Second, the cables are FLAT BLACK ribbon cables; no more ketchup and mustard! ALL of them are flat, even the 24 pin ATX cable. This is by far the thing I like most about this PSU. If you have a window on your PC and want to make it something beautiful, these cables make all the difference. The ribbon cables also make cable management super easy, now I don't have to use two people to close the back side of my PC! XD
Some things I think Cooler Master can do better. The five year warranty is good, but not the best. Also, the cable length is a little on the short side. They will fit any mid tower easily but bigger than that you may want to check and make sure you have enough to plug everything in. There is no zero fan speed operation, so take that into account if you want a silent build.
This is a great PSU and I'm looking forward to using this thing for years and years to come!
The reason for the 2 stars is mainly because of the customer service. Don't get me wrong, the people I talk to are generally helpful but its the time it takes to process each RMA requests and I think its because they're understaffed.
So recently my PSU stopped working and my PC was no longer able to boot. I submit an RMA request and was in contact with one of their reps. This all started maybe mid June. After that, I think they received my product June 22nd.
It is now July 27th and it wasnt until last week that i actually got an update on my PSU. To make matters worse, I was supposed to receive my product yesterday but unfortunately Fedex has lost it...so I've been out of a PSU for a little over a month and wasted my time waiting for my new PSU when I couldve just cut my loses and bought a brand new one.
If you have issues with this product I suggest just going ahead and buying a brand new one, preferably a different brand, because honestly going through the warranty claim process is just not worth it.
Also, every time I go into their website to view/update/log an rma request it would be down and good luck getting on the phone with them
Edit: I finally got my package. They were nice enough to replace it with a 650, however, it took them a little over a month to process this RMA request..
I've been using this for over 6 months now and I can say it's of very good quality and efficient power supply. The fan is also very silent. There are times when I do heavy overclocking on CPU and GPU, consuming >800W off the wall and this PSU is rock stable. No shutdown or degradation whatsoever. But only time will tell I guess. If anything happens, I'll be updating this review. Packaging is very nice, too. My only concern are the cables, as those could be better. I had better cables from cheaper PSU. Still, that doesn't affect the overall performance.
After several months of use, this PSU started to exhibit random shutdowns when playing games. What's interesting though is it only shutdown somewhere around 250W - 650W and it's very random. Apparently I had not seen it shutdown way past 700W (measured off the wall). At any rate, I still requested RMA from Cooler Master. CM Support was very helpful, accepted the request and processed it quickly. In fact, they sent me a brand new V1200 Platinum as a replacement. Their intention was probably to make up for the shipment delay but still I can't argue with the instant (huge) upgrade they did for me. Given the level of support I've seen, I will not think twice buying a cooler master product again.
Keep in mind, the CM V series is made by Seasonic, one of the top PSU OEMs. I always but Seasonic or Silverstone PSU's for my machines as well as customers. Never had a problem, rock solid and stable.
I couldn't find it on the pics provided but this, iirc, was rated for 47 amps on the 12v line alone so I'm assuming the 550w rating is for continuos load.Don't hold me to that but I know it had a really solid, single rail 12v line, I look forward to actually using one of these. Compact, modular and hefty. Highly recommended by Jguru if I recall as well, search johnny guru and you'll find his review.

Lets throw away the amazing performance it has (Up to platinum efficiency, even though it is rated for gold), and check out the looks.
It looks good in my 760T. The cables, save for the 24 pin, are flat. I love that.. It made cable management super easy and fun to do, and ended up with a really neat system.
I cannot hear the fan at all, i sometimes question if it is spinning at all.
Strong 3V and 5V rail, never dipping or climbing.
The 12V rail is almost as good. It dips a tiny bit every now and then, but never more than 0.7% (never goes below 12.054, never above 12.104) so that is a non issue.
JohnnyGuru gave it a 9.7, and i give it a 10. I cannot recommend it enough, even for high end builds.
One thing i would change is the Sata Power connectors are a bit thick. They are no thicker than any other daisy chain connectors, but i wish they were thinner!
The packaging of the product was good. it arrived intact despite it not having anything other than a simple shrink wrap cover on it.
The shipper should be putting a better box around it, as mine arrived with dents on EVERY corner of the box... The exceptional soft celled foam that cooler master puts inside the box made up for that, leaving not a scratch on the actual product.
The only con i can think of is that it ships in the factory packaging, not a separate box with more padding.
That is to fault of the shipper, not cooler master.
Otra opinión mencionó que los cables son difíficles de diferenciar, como regla básica es que los del procesador son los que vienen en un pack 4+4 y el de la gráfica en un pack 6+2
Despues de cambiar la fuente, todo quedo ok...
