My mom grew up in Vermont, so I was exposed to real maple syrup from an early age. As a result, I always have to have real maple syrup. I don't normally have a certain kind of maple syrup that I must have, as long as it is real. But, my local grocery store stocked this brand (way to go Ingles!) and I gotta say, it was the best. The perfect flavor, and not overly sweet (which is weird to say, I know, because it is basically liquid sugar to begin with...but it is a really nice flavor)
But then we moved. No more Ingles (which is sad enough in itself) and no more Coombs Family Farms Dark Color, Robust taste syrup. It's Ok, I told myself, we'll just pick up another pure maple syrup brand and move on. But that didn't work. I didn't know it, but this maple syrup was slowly and quietly ruining all other maple syrup for me. So now I am in the position of really being hooked on not just real maple syrup, but this particular brand and this particular grade and flavor. Curse you for being so delicious and the perfect maple syrup flavor.
I am very fortunate to have found that you can purchase this on Amazon at a very reasonable price. Buy it!

Tied with Hidden Springs Maple, yet different. A surprise to my experience was the complete balance of sweetness and maple flavor . This syrup may be the choice for those not wanting that maple "edge" to overpower their experience. I don't want to imply that this syrup is mellow, but it is incredibly balanced. The tie with Hidden Springs Maple was given during a simultaneous taste-test between these and Canadian Finest, the three highly ranked competitors for this review.

This maple syrup is so delicious! I've never tasted anything like it. I just opened the bottle and taste a little on my fingers and I said "WOW!!!" Tasted it again to make sure it tasted that good and it did! I'm making some rolls right now and it called for honey but because the maple syrup is so flavorful I took some of the honey out and pour some maple syrup in it lol.
If you're accustomed buying BJ's organic maple syrup (like I was) then STOP! Try this maple syrup. I ONLY bought this brand of maple syrup because the bottle was BPA free. Yip, that was the reason. Didn't care for the reviews (can't trust reviews sometimes because some of are just fake) and wasn't a fan of maple syrup but NOW I am.
Yes, this cost $10 more than the one at BJ's it the quality and taste speaks for itself. It's worth it! Plus they shipped the bottle securely!
