Supportive, Breathable AND Adjustable

This body pillow attempts to combine the support of a memory foam pillow with the softness and malleability of a down pillow. The manufacturer was trying to mimic the feel of down by loading the pillow with shredded chunks of material that can be fluffed to make a more custom fit. Well, I think they really hit on something here, because after a few weeks I've become quite impressed with this product. The pillow is supportive, breathable AND adjustable. The bamboo retains its shape well, but it's also moldable enough to be extremely comfortable. I appreciate how I can lessen the amount of fluff toward the bottom -- where my knees wrap around it -- while boosting the fluffiness toward the top of the pillow -- where I wrap my arms around it. It somehow manages to straddle the line between firm and pliable. And as a 6'1 side sleeper, it's plenty long enough for me to wrap both my arms and my legs around. (Official size: 20" x 54" = 50.8cm x 137.16cm.)

An additional benefit is that stays relatively cool compared with more traditional memory foam body pillows. My hunch is that she clumps of shredded memory foam allow for better air circulation, keeping the hot spots of the pillow cooler than they might otherwise be. And according to the manufacturer, the combination of bamboo fabric and memory foam makes the pillow hypoallergenic and dust mite resistant. One downside is that the pillow is fairly heavy, which can be annoying when I switch sides throughout the night. For a pillow cover, I suggest the "Allersoft Cotton Body Dust Mite and Allergy Control Pillow Protector, 21 by 60-Inch."

Great Pillow, Super Comfy, Stays Cool!!!

What a great pillow!!!

The bamboo retains its shape really well, but is moldable enough to be extremely comfortable. It's perfect for sleeping, or using a back prop to watch tv in bed for two. It stays cool, which is really great if you or your partner happen to radiate heat like a nuclear reactor. Apparently you can wash the pillow without damage (the manufacturer will email you about this after your purchase which was a very nice touch) and this even reinvigorates the bamboo filling.

Overall very pleased with this purchase!

Be warned: Your partner may use this pillow as a Great Wall to thwart your late night advances. Sadly, I have no advice for you on this. At least you'll be comfortably and cooly imprisoned on your own side of the bed.

I scoured Amazon and even non-Amazon sites for memory foam body pillows. I have knee pain from a baker's cyst and foot pain from a compressed nerve. I've been uncomfortable for months with my old, flat body pillow. I had an extra memory foam head pillow, but it wasn't long enough to separate my knees and my feet. I knew I needed a memory foam body pillow but wasn't sure they even exist. I looked at so many sites and found that there are really appx. 3 different memory foam body pillows out there (many different companies sell the same "brand"). I read every review on all of them. When I found this one, I already knew that when it arrives at my house it will be vacuum sealed to make it smaller for transport, and would require "fluffing".

When it arrived I didn't just lay it out, I personally fluffed every inch, pinching and pulling the pieces apart. Memory foam can be forced down to a small size and made compact, so I wanted to make sure I affected every little foam piece and got them separated from each other. Since it was bent in the middle for shipping, I also actively redistributed the memory foam and slightly bulked up the center where I need the most support.. Once fluffed, it actually turned out to be a very large fluffy pillow. It's slightly heavy, but true memory foam pillows will be. I swap sides all night and have no trouble flopping this pillow from one side to the other as I roll with it between my legs. The bamboo cover really helps keep it cool. I was concerned the heaviness and size of the pillow would make me hot, but the bamboo prevents that. I also ordered a very large zippered body pillow cover that fits perfectly.

The first night was the true test. I'm so used to waking up every hour or so in pain and tossing and turning, but I didn't! It was so wonderful. I got a real, full nights rest, no pain. Even better, I wasn't in pain in the morning. My knee and my foot didn't hurt. I am so glad they make this pillow, thank you for the wonderful sleep!

For the pillowcase, I ordered the "Allersoft Cotton Body Dust Mite and Allergy Control Pillow Protector, 21 by 60-Inch". The open ended pillowcase that Amazon recommends with this product doesn't zip closed, so I decided to go with one that zips.

I purchased this as a gift for my future hubby and he LOVES it! I had bought a small travel pillow for a trip by the same manufacturer last summer. It was so comfy, we actually kept using it post-travel. The boyfriend kept stealing it in his sleep, so for xmas, I got him a similar shredded memory foam pillow, but it was the Snugglepedic brand only because it seemed to have better reviews. We ended up exchanging it for this one because the filling was too fluffy and too hard. He loves the Coop Home Goods brand without even knowing what it is I got for him. He loves the loft, but is all about the sink-in feeling which didn't really happen with the other kind. Even though it is like trying to shove a floppy drunk friend into a potato sack, this pillow eventually fits perfectly in whatever damask stripe pillowcase amazon recommended with it at the time, and it's not so overfilled that the squish is restricted.
Both brands have that super soft bamboo rayon cover and both of good quality, but this one takes the cake. Also I should note- we are both medium to softer down pillow people, and he is using this truly as a body pillow to support his knees and hips, etc. (I've even spotted him asleep ON it like a leopard on a tree branch!) and not a shared head pillow.
- If you're looking for a nice sink in and squash, this is the one for you.
- If you like pillow push back, get the Snuggle.
Also, this is kind of like having an inanimate third person in our queen sized quarters...
