I love this series and hope their are more to come.
The Cop in Unit B starts as an action loaded nightmare for Mike, a hot alpha male cop, who finds himself in the middle of chaos instead of a peaceful, fun filled 4th of July celebration as planned. Where under normal circumstances Mike just would be doing his job, here his whole world threatens to fall apart. Count on the Mockingbird Musketeer cavalry (one for all and all for one) to give Mike his support, foremost Brexton, his handsome roommate of time. It's been pretty clear from the beginning that these two men are made for each other. The chemistry had been over the 'top and it didn't take long for them to act on it, to the pleasure of the reader… Whereas Mike's problems are more on the current side are Brexton's in his past. When Brexton got confronted with his own worst case nightmares, he can count on Mike to never leave his side.
Once more Kris Cook has gifted us with a fantastic read and I enjoyed this book immensely! Like I already said before The Cop in Unit B had been packed with action, but also our all so beloved sweetheart and honey time didn't come to short either. What I really enjoyed was the honesty our MC's had been up front with one another right from the beginning. There had been also parts of the book that really got me thinking. We can never see past the choices we don't understand, so think twice before it's too late. #highlyrecommended

This story revolves around Mike Turner and Brexton Doyle. Mike is a police officer who finds himself in the middle of a human trafficking ring. Thanks to a busted water pipe, he find himself the new roommate of Brexton Doyle. He's had a crush on Brexton for a while, but hasn't found the courage to confront him about it yet. Brexton is a college student with a career decision to make. He isn't sure which way he wants to go, but finds himself helping Mike with his current case.
Their is adventure, suspense, intrigue, turmoil, and lots of yummy goodness too! It's never boring at Mockingbird Place and the family vibe is stronger than ever.
We don't see a lot from most of the other residents of Mockingbird Place except for S & M, but they are mentioned here or there with references to how they are doing or brief glimpses of them.
Written as a multi pov with a HEA. This is book 7 of the series but can be read as a stand alone. But let's be honest here....the series is so awesome, you won't want to read just one. Seriously.
Awesome character development, fantastic story line, awesome descriptions to details, and engaging dialogue. All in all, a wonderful read.
Would I recommend this book? Absolutely!!

Sassy Beta Reading & Review
Mike is a police officer and while out at the fair with his sister and her friend, shots are fired sending everyone into a panic. When he can't find his sister and her friend once things settle a bit, Mike and Brexton, there giving Mike support, find themselves thrown into a human trafficking ring, and they are determined to stop it.
This story has a lot going on, the focus isn't just the relationship between Mike and Brexton but that's there too. These two are there for each other during the tough moments, and it's in those moments these two really learn what they mean to each other. This book didn't feel as 'romancy' as some of the others but I did enjoy it, I liked that it was a bit of a different road to love. I also enjoyed getting to see the other Mockingbird residents as well.
I definitely enjoyed this book and this series and would definitely recommend it!
