Copic Carrying Case. Scores of anime, manga, and comics artists as well as landscape, product, architecture, and fashion designers prefer Copic markers because of their ultra-blendable, low odor, alcohol based inks. Unlike water-based inks, which tend to pill and oversoak the paper while blending, Copics mix on the surface to deliver the wonderfully rich blends they’re known for. This outstanding performance has distinguished Copic markers as the celebrated coloring tool within professional, semi-professional and hobby circles alike.

In regard to the flimsy baskets, I decided I could use PVC tubes left over from a project to separate my markers. Works like a charm, travel friendly (read not metal), very sturdy case to begin with, really sturdy when the PVC pipe is used.
Hope this helps!
However, I put a Crafter's Companion PENST14 for 168 markers (with a piece of cardboard on the open side) to make the perfect, organized storage case for my Copic markers. I know exactly which colors for Copic I want and still need and have left open slots for them. I'm actually probably going to purchase this case and an additional Companion to organize my ProMarkers. W&N Pigment Markers, and Prismacolors. I've tested and they all fit in the same slots perfectly. There's also enough space on the sides to put other items like Multiliners, erasers, other markers, etc. . .
UPDATE: 20 September, 2013
I've added a photo to the review. I wanted to show how much this case can hold. As seen in my photo, I have in there currently a full set of Copic Sketch markers PLUS 20+ additional markers I had laying around before committing to a whole set. It's pretty crammed, but still works out great.
You need an insane amount of markers for this to be useful. I have more than 216 copic sketch markers and a few other markers like Prisma and Copic Ciao. And it's still not "full". Because of this, the baskets in the bag fall over and the markers spill everywhere in the bag unless I put something in there to prop it.
You can definitely get a better product somewhere else for a better price. If you have a lot of markers and are ready to invest in a good bag then maybe consider this one after looking through as many other options as you can find.
I still have the bag because I'm getting more markers as this is my favourite medium. But I would definitely prefer something sturdier than those little baskets.
I still have the case and I've found it be very useful because my marker collection expanded by a lot. I also do a lot of travel nowadays.
I went to conventions with it and it was the most useful compartment for my copic markers.
I also managed to fit in a variety of other mediums as well, such as sharpie markers, highlighters, rulers (small ones), books, and a ton of inking pens.
This really is one of the best cases for travel because it has several ways to carry it.
It's the ideal bag for storage as well and it was so easy to travel with since it kept everything in place and was still compact.
Perfect for airplane rides which is why I upgraded my review to 4 stars.
I just folded away those annoying handles on those baskets so I don't use them at all.
The baskets became more useful as I got more stuff to fill it with and I have no complaints about it anymore.
The only reason I didn't update to 5 stars is because the metal clip on the side is breaking already because of wear and tear.
You'd think it would be sturdy because of the weight of the markers it was designed to carry.
I can replace that easily enough if I have to though.
Overall this bag is definitely worth the money if you're a traveler.
Just make sure you zip it shut when you're carrying it around...and the clasp breaks off...
