Copic Carrying Case. Scores of anime, manga, and comics artists as well as landscape, product, architecture, and fashion designers prefer Copic markers because of their ultra-blendable, low odor, alcohol based inks. Unlike water-based inks, which tend to pill and oversoak the paper while blending, Copics mix on the surface to deliver the wonderfully rich blends they’re known for. This outstanding performance has distinguished Copic markers as the celebrated coloring tool within professional, semi-professional and hobby circles alike.

The case is sturdy. It doesn't flop around, so the fabric doesn't move and keeps its shape. It's not hard but it's not going to bend easily at all either. This case even with nothing in it will sit up straight without falling over. The handles and shoulder strap are well constructed. They were obviously built to take the weight. The top of the case is flat and zippers shut. I've never had any issues with the zippers.
As for the baskets on the inside, there are 6 of them. You can obviously take them in and out. Now I don't use these myself, but you would need to put (as seen in the stock picture) quite a few of your markers in them so they don't spill out. I can see using them if I have other items (such as my sketch pad, pencils, etc.) along in the case but for the most part I keep them and use them at home.
Obviously this case is intended for your Copics. As other reviewers have mentioned if you're using the baskets then you probably or should have a lot of markers, but I don't find this to be an issue. You could use the baskets for mechanical pencils too as well as your markers. You could also put your sketchbooks, coloring charts, paper and whatever else you may need in it as well.
How do I use my case to carry my Copics?:
I get asked this question a lot. I carry my Copics using the plastic set cases they came with inside of the case. Yes they do add to the weight, but it keeps them well organized and safe. I also have a wallet with my SP Multiliner sets that I stick in there as well. It fits them all. I actually have been working on implementing an idea to use plastic inserts to hold my markers at the bottom as well as near the top so I can literally have all of my Copics organized without the need to use any cases. When and if I get that done I will update my review and post pictures.
I also have used my case to carry several wallets of markers if I am working on a specific project, that way I can leave the rest of them at home. What I'll do is bring my sets of pencils, sketchbook and whatever else I need in the case, therefore minimizing what I need to bring. One of my biggest uses as well is as home. I can have all my markers ready for me so I can literally carry the case instead of having to go back and forth to carry several cases if I want to work in a different room.
Do I suggest the Copic case? Absolutely. I am attached to my markers and have been using this case for a good while now. I love the COPIC brand name printed on the front, how sturdy the bag is, and definitely how much easier it makes it for me to carry them around.
I replaced the baskets with a few 4" diameter cardboard shipping tubes and they work like a charm! The baskets I find to be too flimsy for marker storage, but the case itself is perfect. I use the soft baskets to store makeup or other art supplies that are smaller and won't topple the baskets.
All that is okay for now anyway as well because I can plan one or two projects and throw all the stuff in the extra space of the case and have an easy time of transporting it from place to place. So, WIN!
