From the manufacturer
Copic makes one of the highest quality alcohol markers in the world. Developed for—and widely adopted by—the Japanese manga industry, Copic markers are ideal for all styles of art, design, illustration, and crafts. Durable, refillable, and featuring replaceable nibs, you only need to buy a Copic marker once.
Vibrant, Smooth Color: Copic ink applies smoothly and is easy to blend. The alcohol based ink dries acid free and does not destroy paper fibers the way water based inks do. Also, the open time on uncoated papers is limitless, so you can go back and re-wet the ink years later!
Permanent & Non-Toxic: Copic markers are free of harmful chemicals and overwhelming odors, making them much more enjoyable to use than other brands.
Refillable: Once you purchase a marker, it is yours for life. By simply refilling the marker and replacing damaged nibs, your marker will last a lifetime. Some artists have been using the same markers for up to 25 years.
Super Brush Nib: This unique, flexible brush allows for smooth blends and paint-like application. No other brush marker on the market has the feel and quality of the Super Brush nib.

They don't smell bad (compared to a Sharpie marker) and this speaking from someone who is allergic to everything.
Made my own color test chart and they are fun to use. Will work out the tricks to color better with them. I see a lot of tutorials around so its good that the Copic community is around to help the noobs that don't know what they are doing (like me).
Will surley buy more colors in the future.
It's all about trial and error so do not get discouraged, keep drawing and have fun!
Blendable - due to being alcohol based
Tips can be replaced
Equisite for drawing in greyscale
Easy to use even for people who never use pens to draw.
- Bleed through if you use thin paper, as do prismacolor pens btw.
- Not puppy proof. My puppy chewed up my n6 and i had to reorder the single and it cost me 10 bucks to replace. Might have been better if i just rebought the set, but pointless cus they are refillable.
- More expensive than other pens on the market by worth the price considering the capabilities.
- Wish the multiliner in this set had a thinner tip, but works okay regardless.
(You can see in the image that my N0 marker is almost already devoid of ink)
Are they expensive?
Are they refillable w replacement nibs?
They work best with heavy gauge paper or marker paper ( check you sketchbooks to make sure rhey are wet medium or marker friendly)
But hands down they are the easiest and best at blending and coloring. The more colors the easier each blend can get. Colors are often smooth and vibrant. Markers are clearly labeled as well. Safe up some money and go for the three packs or the 6 packs to start. As you get hooked go up to the bigger sets
The copic markers are alcohol based and dry fast with the air once applied on paper.
