It's perfect for cooking tater tots, frozen french fries, fish sticks or anything else that is meant to be crunchy on the outside. It cooks perfectly on both sides without having to flip your food over since the heat can get under and over the food. I even use just the screen without the pan sometimes to get things extra crispy.
