Catherine is moving from the ranch she's always called home to Phoenix. Hoping to help Arizona achieve statehood any way she can, she starts her job at a land investment company. With a quick promotion, Catherine soon forgets to keep the Lord as her priority. Mitchell Brewer, a journalist for the Phoenix Clarion, can hardly believe his luck in getting to write about the most influential pacesetters of Arizona's future. But when some of the land sales look to be cover for fraud, he knows he has to write the truth, even if it costs him dearly. So dearly that any future with Catherine could be gone. Will Mitch be able to stand his ground while being faced with losing his love? Will they be able to see the Lord's hand at work under a copper sunrise? This book has all the ingredients of a great book. It has suspense, romance, and a mystery. Catherine O'Roarke longs to do something other than working on a ranch in the Arizona Territory. She wants to have excitement, and be part of the movement to make Arizona a state. She finds a job in Phoenix working for Mr. Showalter at the Southwestern Land and Investments. Enter Mitch Brewer, a reporter for the local newspaper. He is quite taken by Catherine. However, their budding romance is curtailed when Mitch tells her he suspects her boss is up to no good. She is furious by his accusations. I actually read this book in one sitting, because the story kept me interested. I would recommend this book!
