Nice kit, but no guarantee you will receive any certain color thread. I ordered this kit specifically because I needed yellow or orange thread to fix a dress. Both colors are shown in all listing photos and customer reviews, however the closest color I received was a neon yellow/green.

There are the basic essentials needed for around the house. I don't sew much but have to fix hems and small tears every now and then. This is perfect to have on hand and I will most definitely pack it to take along on trips.
The various items are of pretty decent quality. The needle capsule has the spin opening so that needles are easy to get to but don't randomly fall out. The thread wasn't *great* but it held for a small tear I needed to fix. I like that so many items were included - an excellent thimble and a couple of traders.
I might have to get another of these so I can gift one to a friend/neighbor around the holidays.

As a guy who only needs to sew on a button now and then, this should be fine. It’ll keep me from continuing to store my needles and thread in an old shopping bag, but honestly, its size is disappointing. And that, by the way, is the first time I’ve ever uttered those words.
Guess I’ll go look for a medium size tackle box. That’s the sewing kit storage I wanted to begin with, just feel snookered by a pretty photo.
Wouldn’t buy it again, but it’s not so bad I’m returning it, so there’s that.

Seems to be ok quality. For an actual size comparison, the photo shows two normal 400 yd spools of Coats and Clark thread flanking a spool included in this kit. That should help out with the size.By Paul_in_Germany on August 7, 2020
