Other than that fault, it does keep my coffee warm for the up to 8hrs. I have not had a need to have it warm longer than that. The design makes Its easy to carry but, hard to open if your hands aren't dry or lotion free. A bigger top would help with that. It is really flat and thin. I'm thinking about knitting a jacket for it with a shoulder strap for protection and convenience. LOL
