NO, IT DOES NOT COME WITH A SHEATH. I see so many bad reviews because people aren't paying attention to what they are ordering. Now I'm Making Christmas ornaments from 4-5 inch log pieces. Wouldn't have been able to do it without this Corona saw! Started off with my smaller folding saw and switched to this after wearing myself out. I tried a chainsaw but the cut was too rough (no it's not near as fast as a chainsaw, but also takes no gas and I can do it in my bathroom). It is a silent way to prune, and can handle up to 7" diameter...

Cuts through apricot like butter

I needed to trim a few 4-5 inch branches from my apricot tree. I have never used one of these. (and I know I should be doing this when the tree is dormant) but this cut through 4-5 inch and one or two 6 inch branches easily. The more pressure you apply the faster it will go, but even a weak person could use this for branches he / she could reach. It's handle is excellent. I just want to find out how fast it will dull. I made 15-20 cuts and it didn't show any sign of dulling. It's great.

Update after 10 months - Would Highly recommend. Used this to cut down 30 ft trees. I can't believe it still cuts. Used on 5-7 types of tree. Cut up to 8" trunks of trees. It's astounding what you can do with one of these....if you can reach. I can in my yard. I have an endless supply of reachable wood, so I love it.

This saw is amazing! I had bought it to cut a few hanging limbs in an area of brush just to get by until our chainsaw was fixed. Well, this saw is so easy to use and so sharp that I cleared all the brush with it alone. This is my "after" pic. I don't have a "before" picture but just imagine this being solid scrub oaks that you cannot see through. Would definitely recommend.

I just spent two days clearing out branches of small trees and a large fallen tree. In the days prior to getting this saw, I was using another that I thought worked quite well. THIS saw... I can cut through a 2-inch branch in just a matter of 3-4 solid pull-back cuts. It is SO nice and quick. What would take me 10 cuts now takes me just 3-4. And I LOVE the handle because my pinky finger, thus hand, is braced by the little lip. Without it (in my other saw), my hands and wrist would get tired because I spent so much more energy just holding on to the handle to prevent it from slipping out of my hand. Also, this is the fourth saw I've used in the last 6 months. All summer long, I spend my COVID "vacation" working outside in my childhood home, clearing out brush and limbs. I really wish I had this saw because my work would've been so much easier and faster. Really impressed!

This is the best pruning saw of this type. I've purchased three over 20+ years, and still have two that are in great shape. It rapidly cuts through branches and small trees under 3" in size. I've used it to cut larger limbs but a chain saw is much faster. The small size makes it especially useful if killing off invasive trees in dense underbrush as well as clearing hurricane debris. When finished cutting, wipe blade to prevent sap build-up and finish with a light film of corrosion resistant lubricant to rust proof it.

I can finally clear my chain link fence!

I bought this saw to cut up roots in my clay yard. My Root Slayer shovel can get the small roots, this takes care of the bigger roots fast. It is sturdier than my normal wood saw, so hard clay ground doesn't bend it. Works great for what I bought it for.

I was happy to find one that doesn't fold up.

I noticed the saw can fit in the holes of my chain link fence, I have used it to clear several branches/trees that had grown around the fence. Normally I would wait for years for the branches to rot enough that i can knock them off. With this tool i can cut them out!
When using it on the chain link fence I sometimes wish the blade was a constant depth, it can get stuck between the branch and fence if i push too far.

I'm probably dulling the tool much faster than it would from intended use, but it works very well for the jobs I'm using it for.

I'm very impressed by this tool.
