Corporate Undertaker does not read like a textbook. It is not written from the point of view of a college professor who has barely dabbled in real-world business. This is written with finesse and suspense by a guy who has clearly been in the trenches and knows first-hand why companies fail and how some can be saved. I found myself closing the book at times out of sheer frustration by the arrogance of some business owners only to open it again just as quickly because I just had to know what happened next. Did the company make it or not? Why? What could have been done? What should have been avoided?
Corporate Undertaker is a brilliant book that is skillfully written and should be turned into a movie. It's really that good.
I use to work for a very successful (and still successful) construction management company, and the man whose name is on the building once told me “If someone tells you business is not personal, well they are full of cr@p! Business is always personal.”
The author reinforces this statement on on Page three (vii) of the Introduction, and backs it up with his personal journey in the word of crisis management.
The “Corporate Undertaker” grabbed my attention and didn’t let go. If you are a business owner, inspiring to be a business owner, self-employed, executive management, work for someone or just intrigued of how business is truly done in this world, then the “Corporate Undertaker” needs to be on the top of your reading list....
Excellent business and life lessons derived from first hand experience.
This book will be very helpful for a lot of people .

The balance between professional and personal stories helps to illustrate that no event occurs in isolation. There is always a personal cost.
After walking through some very slimy sewers with the author, the Epilogue restores faith in the human spirit.
Just purchased two more for friends as a Christmas gift.
