From the Author
The series has special meaning to me and my sister Phyllice Bradner, because writing the SILVER SISTERS brought us together as sisters and let us reminisce about some of the wacky characters among our family and friends...and yes, composites of them appear as characters in our books. Phyllice moved to Alaska when she was only 20 and we were never close until beginning the series. Thank you Goldie and Godiva! Goldie's character is loosely based upon Phyllice, and Godiva upon me although I must say I am not rich like Godiva nor am I as selfish, but I do know how she thinks. Their octogenarian mother and uncle, former vaudeville magicians and sleuths in their own right, were inspired by our own mother and a favorite aunt and uncle.
We are happy the the series is being reissued with a new publisher and new look after our previous publisher closed its doors. It gave us the opportunity to add those extra touches and things we wish we'd done to the new editions. Watch for TERROR IN A TEAPOT next followed by VANISHING ACT IN VEGAS.
There is also a new escapade in the works--DIAMONDS IN THE DUMPSTER.
Happy reading---MORGAN ST. JAMES

When Caesar is arrested for Biff’s murder, Godiva and Goldie set out to prove his innocence. Not wanting to be left out, Flossie and Sterling, who played vaudeville, assist in the effort and come up with the clue that may free Caesar.
Throughout the book, the characters blend well together and Morgan and Phyllice really know how to weave a story that readers will find delightful.
