Review

Godiva, a Beverly Hills advice columnist, is poisoned on a TV cookingshow. Her twin sister Goldie, an aging hippie from Alaska, quickly comes to town when her daughter Chili calls. Luckily Godiva recovers. ChefRomano from the cooking show begins seeing Godiva and explains thatsomeone is sabotaging his show. The twins Godiva and Goldie areopposites, but when they work together, they re great sleuths. Throw intheir quirky family and you ve got a real winner. Lots of twists andturns in the plot. I highly recommend this book. Dawn Dowdle--mysteryloverscorner.com

From the Author

A CORPSE IN THE SOUP is the first book in the zany Silver Sisters Mystery series. It took six years for my sister and I to write it as we were published writers, but had not written fiction. The result was worth it. USA Book News named the book Best Mystery Audio Book for the year it was submitted.

The series has special meaning to me and my sister Phyllice Bradner, because writing the SILVER SISTERS brought us together as sisters and let us reminisce about some of the wacky characters among our family and friends...and yes, composites of them appear as characters in our books. Phyllice moved to Alaska when she was only 20 and we were never close until beginning the series. Thank you Goldie and Godiva! Goldie's character is loosely based upon Phyllice, and Godiva upon me although I must say I am not rich like Godiva nor am I as selfish, but I do know how she thinks. Their octogenarian mother and uncle, former vaudeville magicians and sleuths in their own right, were inspired by our own mother and a favorite aunt and uncle.

We are happy the the series is being reissued with a new publisher and new look after our previous publisher closed its doors. It gave us the opportunity to add those extra touches and things we wish we'd done to the new editions. Watch for TERROR IN A TEAPOT next followed by VANISHING ACT IN VEGAS.

There is also a new escapade in the works--DIAMONDS IN THE DUMPSTER.

Happy reading---MORGAN ST. JAMES
