Superior cooling performance and LED illumination
Corsair Air Series LED high airflow PC case fans combine efficient, low-noise airflow with striking LED lighting. The custom-molded blades are designed for high-volume air delivery with less noise and turbulence than typical case fans. They’re translucent, with a frosted texture, so the light from the four LEDs adds a dramatic effect.
Tuned for high-airflow, large volume cooling
Air Series AF fan models perform best in unrestricted spaces with at least 3cm of clearance, and they’re ideal for mounting at the rear or top of your PC case as exhaust fans for your PC’s motherboard and CPU, graphics accelerators, and other components that fill the case with heat. They work equally well as unrestricted intake fans for areas like side panels or bottom intakes.
For high restriction areas like hard drive cages or in other tight spaces where there’s less air volume, check out our Air Series SP models of high static pressure fans.
Better performance than standard case fans
Air Series AF fan models are designed to outperform standard case fans. The blades are custom-molded for optimal airflow, and they’re ultra-thin for less noise and turbulence. The sleeved bearing system reduces vibration for quiet operation.

I should have done a bit more research into fans and gotten PWM fans, but not because these are noisy by any means (they aren't) but I'd like for fine tune control over my fan speeds. Not a mark against the fans as much as it it myself, I should have researched further.
Noise level is marginal, as right now all I can hear is the SP fans running. Installation was simple, as I already had fans in place and just reused the hardware. There is included hardware with these fans, FYI.
Across the entirety of my case, I have 6 AF120s and a single AF140 and so far I've never had a quality control issue and the fans are whisper quiet. Granted I have selectively tuned the speeds of the fans to make it as quiet as possible and with my case propped up onto my desk no more than 1.5m from my head, the only thing making noticeably audible noise is a humming sound from my motherboard area, likely my water-cooler.
Overall it may be a bit pricy to indulge in multi-fan setups, but if you're going to buy LED ones, you really can't go wrong with this brand.
I've also included a couple pictures from my latest WIP build with colour reproduction as accurate as I could get on my phone's camera, but it is still a tad more bluish than the actual thing. It's more similar to a 6000k white bulb than plain white.
When a rather large box showed up on my doorstep I was not expecting it to be filled with fans. After opening the box I realized that Corsair had sent a pair of every fan in the Corsair Air Series. That leaves me with a pair of each of the following fans: AF120 Quiet, AF120 Performance, AF140 Quiet, SP120 Quiet, and the SP120 High Performance. Each of the 120mm fans were delivered in a twin pack while the AF140 fans showed up in individual packaging. The boxes themselves clearly denote the model number along with the basic fan specifications at the bottom left of the front of each box. A large window makes it extremely easy to get a good look at each of the fans before you buy them should you be shopping in your local Fry's or Microcenter. Now that I've had my fun stacking all the boxes in interesting ways…
Flow optimized based on application (air flow versus restriction)
Hydraulic bearings for quiet and reliable service
Rubber corners for reduced vibration and noise
Interchangeable trim rings
Low-voltage adapter included for even less noise
The SP series fans may not be something you'd buy to replace fans on your current heat sink or radiator, but if you were buying parts without included fans they're a great choice! The quiet version of the SP120 doesn't move a ton of air to cool highly overclocked CPUs on air cooling but it was essentially silent during the test runs. The faster of the two SP120 fans cooled incredibly well at the penalty of increased noise. Keep in mind though that the SP120 High Performance Edition still isn't a loud fan. They don't hold a candle to the Vantec Tornado screamers of yesteryear and if you aren't picky about noise they'd suit you just fine even at full speed. The quieter SP120 Quiet Edition is what I'd recommend to anyone who needs an absolutely silent computer… for anyone else the SP120 High Performance Edition (maybe using the low-voltage adapter) would be the way to go.
Overall both the Corsair AF-series and the Corsair SP-series fans were impressive. Both lineups include editions oriented towards quiet cooling and performance cooling. Even the performance-oriented versions of the fans were very quiet with the exception of the SP120 High Performance Edition, which, while performing highly, did not do so in silence at 12 volts. The included low-voltage adapter quieted the beast right down though! The interchangeable color rings are a nice touch and the frames and rubber noise isolating inserts are built extremely well and will offer years of service. Corsair has served up winners here!
Superior airflow at any given noise level
Interchangeable rings add a nice touch to any theme
Extremely quiet (with the exception of the SP120 High Performance Edition)
Included low-voltage adapter for even more quiet operation
Slightly higher cost than other fans
Fan noise is minimal, even at full speed with these fans as well.
Before I added this new cooling hardware, the CPU temps would always ramp up to the upper 80's and lower 90's during video renders with both Adobe Premiere Pro and Vegas Pro and stress tests.
Do I recommend these fans? Yes, I do.
