Top customer reviews
as far as the RGB strips theyre good. they have magnets so you dont have to use the adhesive tape on the back side. they get pretty bright and there are plenty of ways to customize them through the Corsair Link software. although you cant set each individual light to be a color of your choice which is a bit disappointing.
overall, if you just want RGB strips then i definitely recommend getting this, its super easy to install and itll make your pc look really nice. if you already bought the HD120 fans and want more control over them then youre pretty much forced to spend another $60 on this.
Which brings me to the subject of the Corsair Lighting Node Pro. The hardware is great - BUT - the software that runs it falls flat on it's face. Ironically, the hardwired controller that came with the HD 120 RGB fans that I used with the Lighting Node Pro has more and better lighting options then the controller software being foisted on us by Corsair. The LED strips and fans are capable of all types of color combos and modes, yet the Corsair Link software allows, I kid you not - ONLY TWO COLOR CHOICES in all but one mode!!! Seriously? Only two colors at a time with RGB LEDs? That is Absolutely, Positively, Totally Unacceptable! Oh, and if you do "Randomized" colors, guess what? You get three color choices, not very random at all. Basically the Link software offers 3 modes, Random, "Step" and breathe, with the above color options. Complete #@&%!
My only hope is that Corsair either eventually hires a new software vendor to write some decent controller code, or a third-party steps into the vacuum and writes some quality controlling software that can really take advantage of what this hardware is capable of. Frankly I'd like to give 2.5 stars, 5 for the hardware and 0 for the software, so I'm compromising with 3 stars. As of this writing, go do yourself a favor and look at a different brand of LED lighting unless or until Corsair gets their software act together.
We are sorry that you are disappointed with your Node PRO but did you know that Latest version of LINK has the same lighting modes as the 3-button controller included with the HD/SP RGB fans except for the demo mode? Please update LINK and call us so that we can help you. Our Tech Support number is 888-222-4346 or submit a ticket at corsair.force.com.

Edit: Thought I'd come back and add a star due to the product being more stable and frequently updated. There was a recent update that added more lighting options which I love that they could do that therefore a star has been given.
So after purchasing the HD120 RGB fans from Corsair, I did so under expectation of a device release to control the full RGB spectrum later on. THIS product is that device. You DO get FULL control of the RGB spectrum on EACH LED STRIP and fans but no actual individual LED controls and you customize thru Corsair's LINK 4.0 Software.
Please Read Detailed Review when considering purchase
-Magnet & Sticky LED Strips
-Small able to fit in confined areas of cases
-Not as bright as NZXT's Hue + LED strips
-Instead of the more common 4 pins on each end these strips have a wire which makes a gap between strips unless folded or zip tied
-5 Different light functions only (Rainbow, Color Wave, Color Pulse, Color Shift, Static, and Temperature)
NZXT's Hue + Contains 7+ functions and 5 being unique (wings, candle light, alternating LED lights, etc)
-Very Short usb 2.0 header to USB shorter than NZXT's Hue +'s
-(NOT so much a con) But packaging for the same priced product NZXT's Hue + has a more simplified and elegant style of packing compared to a simple thrown in a box product slapped with a logo corsair lighting node pro.
Overall even though there are more cons than pros, I love being able to control the RGB HD120 fans finally and that was my goal. Just very disappointed in Corsair for making people buy a Lighting Kit if they want to control their fan LEDS. If you need a lighting kit only I don't recommend this product. But if you plan on buying corsair RGB fans or already have them than YES definitely get this.
-You HAVE to own the 6 port Fan Hub to control the fans RGB LED's
EDIT: I hope Corsair plans on releasing an update for Corsair LINK to enable more light modes and customization.
Only compared to Hue+ since thats what I had and returned for this product
