I have been a loyal customer of Corsair memory for eight years. And for one reason: Corsair is the best. I used these DIMMs in my most recent build and once again, Corsair has come through. These puppies snapped in and the computer booted without a hitch. I went with air cooling on this build using the Cooler Master V8 and it worked perfectly with this memory. I was a bit worried these DIMMs wouldn't fit in the first socket of the motherboard with this monster sized cooler. But it fit just perfect and looks great. Just make sure to install the DIMMs first before the cooler. I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium (x64) and programs all run super smooth and quick. I haven't tried overclocking yet as I am quite satisfied with the stock speed. The blue anodized color is also a plus for designer systems. Looks great sitting in my Asus P8P67 motherboard. As always, Corsair comes through with a rock solid, reliable, and top quality product. And kudos to Amazon for the great pricing and ultra fast shipping. Thanks Amazon. Bottom line: If you're looking for memory that rivals Corsair's Dominator series for a great price, look no further.

I bought this RAM to put in my new system, and it works great. I ran MemTest86+ on it to check it, and on one of the cards, it came back with over 10 million errors. I contacted Amazon and they overnighted me another set of RAM to check out and replace the bad one. I didn't take any stars away from this, because this is to be expected with volatile memory and Amazon quickly replaced the bad one. Over all this RAM is fast, and consistent. I have no gripes about it. The heat sinks look really cool too, and they help with keeping the temperatures down. They are pretty tall though, so if you have a small case it would be wise to not get these, as they may get in the way. I am using these on an Intel Desktop Board DZ68BC - BOXDZ68BC with an Intel Core i5 3570K Processor 3.4 4 BX80637I53570K and they work great together. Great buy, I would definitely recommend this product to others.

Great Memory for Price but soso customer service

Installed this on new ASUS motherboard. At first it would run at 1333 instead of 1600 in BIOS. When I tried to raise it to its maximum memory rate at 1600, The computer wouldn't boot up. I thought I had defective memory cards. I decided to Upgrade the ASUS Motherboard BIOS to the latest version. Now the mmemory cards run at the correct 1600 speed. I have been using it for the past few months without any problems. It installs easily and has built in heatsinks which keeps the memory cards relatively cool. Great price for 16 gbyte of Memory at 1600 MHz.

Update: July 2017 this set of Memory modules have been working great since I installed it five years ago. Unfortunately, One of the modules went bad. I contacted Corsair to RMA the bad memory module and was told I needed to send in ALL FOUR modules from the set to get it replaced. I said I won't have any computer for more than two or three weeks. That didn't seem to matter to them. I send in the bad memory module with all the information they needed to replace it. They replied they still needed ALL FOUR modules from the set to make sure everything is compatible. I told them what if I purchase the exact same module except as a single in not a set. Corsair replied they can't guarantee the module will be compatible with the other three and wouldn't do it. So, I just purchased the exact same module as the set and installed it on my computer. Haven't had any problems anymore. Ran MEMTEST86 and everything came out good in flying colors.
I Believe that Corsair could have sent me at least one good memory module to install in my computer so that while I am waiting for the set of four to return I have access to my computer. After I received the good set of memory modules, I can return the temporarily memory module back in the same container the new set came in. Corsair was going to honor their lifetime warranty. But the conditions were unacceptable.

Perfect, Not a Single Problem, Heat Dissipating Fenders (but check for room in your system)

Works perfectly for me without a single blue screen or crash of any sort in over 3 months using these. These are the high profile version of the chip that adds aluminum heat dissipating fenders. I recommend them if you have the room. There is also a low profile version of the same chip without the fenders. If you check the Corsair site, it explains more behind the value of their fenders, so I believe there is a reason to them, especially if Corsair went out of their way to offer both. So if you have the room, as they aren't remotely in the way of anything on my board, I'd go with them as heat is the enemy inside of a computer. But check for room. If you need to hang cards over them, you'll need the low profile version.

Do check for the memory architecture used by your processor, and is probably repeated by the motherboard, which is to say if you need dual channel versus quad channel or tri-channel. These Vengeance Blue are targeted to the 2nd gen Intel chips, i5/i7-2xxx, all of which (that I know of) use dual channel. I believe quad channel can run in a dual channel mode, but I'd recommend just pairing the exact architecture with the right chips, especially at the price of memory as you are unlikely to reuse in a system years from now which by then, and I don't know if I trust the compatibility mode. For example, some AMD cpus use quad channel, and some high end Intel chips use tri-channel, and cannot use these. But I have the Intel i7-2600K and these are a perfect match.

These are PC1600 but are compatible with the PC1333 qualifications of many. It will run at the PC1333 speed if that is what your processor uses, such as is the i7-2600K that I have. There is no harm in over qualifying for speed, but you don't want to under qualify if you need higher. You can check the CPU facts or motherboard facts in the manuals or on the manufacturer website.

This memory worked perfectly for me. I bought it to upgrade one of my home IT lab's hyper-V servers from 8GB to 16GB. It works at the specified speed and it was instantly recognised.

After I first installed this memory, I ran Prime95 for a few hours to really stress it out and didn't get any blue-screens. The computer has been switched on and running a lot of virtual machines for the last 4 weeks without a break and it hasn't faulted once.

The only thing to watch out for is the size of the heatsinks. If you have a limited amount of space above your memory slots (for example, if you have a beasy CPU heatsink or if you have an ultra-slim case) then you should measure the amount of free space you have and check the Corsair site to see exactly how tall these DIMMs are before ordering them.

These HAVE to be some of the most serious-looking memory modules available! They are the kind of hardware that make you want to leave the side-panel off your computer to impress friends! With their BIG cooling fins and their bright colour, they are almost too good to hide away inside the case. They are serving an i5-2500K CPU and function perfectly, without fuss. Installation was a doddle. The price was such that it was cheaper to install them now rather than at an upgrade and it's 'future-proofed' the system.
