A 280mm radiator and dual SP140L PWM fans provide the excellent heat dissipation
The Hydro Series H110i is an extreme performance, all-in-one liquid CPU cooler for cases with 280mm radiator mounts. The 280mm radiator and dual SP140L PWM fans provide the excellent heat dissipation you need for highly overclocked CPUs. It’s Corsair Link compatible, so you can customize cooling performance, monitor system temperature, and change the color of the RGB LED lighting.
The secret to fast, efficient cooling is maximizing cooling surface area. If your PC case has dual 140mm fan mounts spaced for a 280mm radiator, the H110i lets you take advantage of your case’s full cooling potential.
Advanced SP140L PWM fans
The included 140mm fans are custom-designed for high static pressure air delivery with minimum turbulence and noise. They’re PWM controlled, so you can customize the fan speed to find the optimal balance of cooling and noise.
Built-in Corsair Link
Attach the included Corsair Link cable to a USB header on your motherboard and download the free Corsair Link software to unlock even more power. You can customize cooling performance, monitor coolant and CPU temperatures, and change the color of the RGB LED lighting from the default white to match your system, or to change color based on temperature readings and other inputs.
High-performance CPU cooling made simple
The H110i is a closed loop design that comes pre-filled. It includes a modular, tool-free mounting bracket for faster installation, and it features improved coldplate and pump designs for highly tuned efficiency.

Hydro Series H110i is an all-in-one liquid CPU cooler with a 280mm radiator and dual SP140L PWM fans for cooling that's far superior to stock CPU cooling fans. Liquid cooling simply works better than air cooling, and the self-contained design of the H110i makes it easy for you to protect your valuable CPU. For efficient cooling, bigger is better - it's simple physics. If your PC's case can fit a 280mm radiator, Hydro Series H110i will give you better performance. It's Corsair Link compatible, so you can customize cooling performance, monitor system temperature, and change the color of the RGB LED lighting.

The H100i V2 is simply a re-branded H100i GTX. I own both and can not find any discernible difference between them. The CPU core temps that were measured using HWinfo are basically the exact same. There was a difference of about 3 degrees under load but this is due more to the silicon lottery than the radiator. IMO buy whichever is cheapest at the time of purchase because the differences are not worth paying more for.
The fans on the radiator are SP120L PWM fans which are very solids fans however are still a bit loud for my liking. I have replaced them with Noctura Nf-f12 fans and it works amazing. Replacing the fans did not provide a decrease in temperature but will allow the system to run near silent. Here is a link to the fans that I purchased Noctua NF-F12 PWM Cooling Fan
Compared to an air cooled system you can expect to see a decent drop in temps anywhere from between 5-10C depending on the cooler you are using. If you are planning on Overclocking then I highly suggest you purchase a liquid cooler to protect the CPU from thermal throttle and silicon degradation. Honestly once you make the move to liquid cooling you will never go back.
A couple things I want to point out:
Installation is very easy however to install this cooler you will need to install a support bracket on the underside of your motherboard. For new builds this is not an issue at all since this is easily done before the board is installed into the case. For others that are simply looking at transferring over from an air cooled build then you most likely will have to remove the motherboard from the case in order to install the cooler. Not a deal breaker and definitely worth the trouble, but it is something to consider if you are not comfortable removing your motherboard.
The last thing I want to point out is that you need to be very careful when tightening down the radiator to the case. DO NOT OVER-TIGHTEN it. It is very easy to over-tighten the radiator and it will strip the threads inside the radiator which will not grab the screw anymore. (please don't ask me how i know this :( ). It is not a huge deal if you do to one or two screws since there are several more that will hold it in place but just be careful and make sure the bolt is snug and leave it be.
In summery this is an amazing cooler for those that are not ready for the DIY liquid cooling builds. The pump itself uses RGB leds that allow for almost any color you would ever want. Corsair coolers are really top notch and I highly recommend them to anyone interested in using a liquid cooled system. If you have any questions feel free to post them in the comment section and I will do my best to answer them for you.
Edit: I have confirmed with corsair that this unit and the h100i GTX are the exact same unit. No changes have been made to this unit besides the change in the name. I also wanted to update and clear up any confusion buyers may be having regarding the color panels. The panels do not ship with the unit and actually are not even available for purchasing at this time according to corsair. Corsair informed me that they plan to make them available in the future, but as of now they are not for sale.
The new H100i V2 unit worked well enough, until it stopped: the water pump failed in less than two months. I've been unable to contact Corsair for warranty due to their website login procedures have changed and they are not sending back any new or old account information - despite my many attempts to "claim" my old login. And I have also not been able to create a new customer account - an account is required for warranty and RMA purposes. Tough to get an RMA when you can't create an account.
My first Hydrocooler lasted about 6 years before the fan bearings were shot. And 8 years before the coolant pump started making enough noise to cause me worry. I replaced it with a newer H75 in 2015, and it's still going strong.
Since getting my primary computer running was time critical, I went to Best and purchased an H110i, hoping the pump is NOT the V2 model. Its noticeably louder than the H110i V2 (specs say 43.0dB vs 37.7dB.- you can hear that 5.3dB difference quite well.
As an aside, the extra noise of the 110 over the 100 made me do some research. These hydro coolers seem to have a common issue of being loud and noisy, even when the QUIET mode is selected. They appear to misread the cooler temperature and the fans spin up under very minor CPU load changes. A temp change of 30.6 to 30.8 causes an abrupt fan speed change.- from quiet to loud, then back down to somewhere in between. Some call it "breathing." Obnoxious is my term. They do offer a setting you have to hunt for to select a custom profile. That seems to be working to keep the breathing and speed fluctuations minimized -imo, it should default to that setting.
