From the Manufacturer
The latest generation of the performance legend.
Corsair DOMINATOR Platinum builds on the legacy of the world's most awarded high-performance memory, adding a striking new industrial design and LED lighting effects. Like all DOMINATOR memory modules, they are built using only select memory ICs, highly-screened for performance and stability, and feature our patented DHX (Dual-path Heat eXchange) cooling technology, so you can push them to the limit.
Fanatical screening for phenomenal performance.
DOMINATOR Platinum memory modules are assembled using a “best of the best” IC screening process. Individual ICs are hand-screened to our highest performance threshold, and then the assembled modules undergo more rounds of rigorous screening and stability testing. The result is reliable performance under extreme pressure.
Cooler temperatures for better overclocking headroom.
Excess heat limits overclocking potential, reduces performance, and can even lead to shorter component life. Our patented dual-channel DHX cooling system pulls heat away from the modules and allows DOMINATOR Platinum to run at cooler temperatures than lesser memory kits.
This advanced cooling technology, combined with our relentless screening, delivers phenomenal overclocking potential.
Customize your look.
The integrated light bar provides a subtle downwash lighting effect that gives your system an impressive look but subtle look. Additional light bars (available separately, beginning September 2012) allow you to match your system's color scheme.
Corsair Link compatible.
Add an Airflow Pro (available separately), and connect with Corsair Link system monitoring and control solutions for real-time activity and temperature monitoring.
Designed for Enthusiasts. Backed by Corsair.
World-famous reliability and performance
There's a reason why world-champion overclockers, extreme gaming enthusiasts and high-end system builders all trust Corsair for high-performance memory that they can install with confidence and pride. Whether you're breaking your own records or you're simply building a dream gaming rig, you can count on Corsair memory.

Top Customer Reviews
EDIT: Okay I now change my rating from 3 to 4 stars because I now just got my replacement and its working fine, will change review again if it fails after a couple of weeks, other than that the ram is great, fast and amazing. Just bad reliability early on, and if it works for a month or two, its probably a good ram.
Some basic research gave me the idea that 1866MHz memory would be ideal for my APU/CPU (AMD A10-5800K)
I was very much intrigued by the Dominator Platinum series, given the sales pitch about the increased selection process for the components and quality control. The fit and finish and appearance of these modules is very nice. Very nice quality and it gets a 10/10 in the quality and looks department. The faint white LED lights are a nice touch. They look just a tad bit chintzy, but they do provide a nice faint glow within the case. I'm not much of a light guy, so lighting was not particularly a huge priority for me.
My computer is busy at the moment, so I'm not able to reboot to confirm if it's running at the exact timing it should be (9-10-9-27). However, after plugging it in I merely had to make 1 minor tweak in the BIOS to get it to run at 1866MHz.
The system has now been stable for several weeks, running for several days non-stop with occasional reboots. Unfortunately I did get two BSOD errors (that I know of) related to a possible memory issue. Both times however, it was in the early stages of building the system. I may have been moving the PC and in the process of fully setting it up so there may have been a different cause for this. After these two known events early on, I haven't had any issues since and the system has been very reliable and stable.
I have not run any memtest programs to test the sticks yet, but given the lifetime warranty I don't see it as being a huge priority as long as I don't get any further errors.
So far, system performance with an SSD has been amazing and super-responsive. Very fast. The only software issues I've had so far is with Mozilla Firefox crashing, but this is usually after I have numerous tabs open for several days. I tend to leave a lot of tabs open thinking "I'll get back to it later" while multi-tasking. This may be a problem with the software and other issues, rather than the RAM.
I'm not much of a gamer, but I did download a couple of free games like Battlefield Play4Free and Arctic Combat. Both games run extremely fluidly and smooth at maximum settings with absolutely no glitches, hangups, or temporary freezes.
I will perhaps update my review in the future as I give this RAM more of a workout or notice any additional things that need mentioning. Just wanted to share my experience for future reference, especially since I could find very little information regarding the compatibility of this RAM with the ASUS F2A85-M PRO motherboard.
I'm very happy overall with my system and selection of parts.
