Easy access to frequently-used abilities, macros, button combinations, and spells

Vengeance M95 is designed for the complex demands of massively multiplayer and realtime strategy games. It offers easy programming, 15 intelligently positioned buttons, and onboard storage for unique button setups for each game.

Highly accurate tracking

The advanced 8,200 DPI laser sensor is designed to give great performance, even on not-so-great surfaces.

Comfortable for hours of play

The lightweight aluminum frame is wrapped in soft-touch materials, so you can focus on your game, not on the gear.

Features:

15 intelligently positioned buttons, including nine macro keys

They’re arranged and tuned for intuitive operation without compromising your grip, so you get almost effortless access to your frequently-used abilities, macros, button combinations, and spells.

8200 DPI laser sensor

Ultra-high sensitivity for precise tracking and control.

Aluminum unibody design

The aluminum frame combines high rigidity with low weight, and provides optimal mass distribution.

Selectable response time

You can tune the performance for your desktop surface and playing style by choosing between four response time: 1000Hz, 500Hz, 250Hz, or 125Hz (1ms, 2ms, 4ms or 8ms).

15 programmable buttons are ergonomically placed to be exactly where you expect them to be without compromising your grip.
Onboard Profile Storage

Once you’ve set up your button configuration and other parameters for each of your favorite games, you can quickly toggle between profiles directly from the M95. Since they’re stored on the M95 itself, you don’t need to repeat the setup process on each PC you play on.

High-mass scroll wheel

The solid metal, rubberized scroll wheel doesn't just feel great — it gives you the precision you need when selecting weapons. Precise tactile feedback and accuracy help make sure that you select the right weapon every time.

Switches rated for 20 million clicks

They provide the durability you need for the long run. You probably won’t click them 20 million times… but you could if you wanted to.

Soft-touch materials

Surfaces are textured and have just the right amount of give for outstanding comfort.

PTFE glide pads

M95 is designed with low-friction contact points for swift, precise movement with minimal effort.

Automatic surface quality detection

The laser sensor automatically grades the reflective quality of your playing surface and adjusts its operation accordingly.

Before I start here is a list of mice I currently own (should give perspective on my opinion):
Razer Naga 2013
Razer Naga 2014
Razer DeathAdder
SteelSeries Sensei Raw
And now, the Corsair Veneance M95

I am also an avid MMORPG player. I play LoTRO on a daily basis. Okay, so that's me in a nutshell as it pertains to gaming and mice.

1) Mouse Build Quality: Outstanding
I love the way that this mouse feels both in weight and glide. I pair it with the Corsair Vengeance MM600 and honestly will never go back (unless something even more awesome pops up). There are a lot of mice out there that I have tried that include weights. I love the idea of being able to customize the weight of a mouse. I like a heavier feel than I do something light. For some reason a heavy feel translates to "substantial" in my mind. The M95 does not need any weights, its perfect. I bought the black because I don't like the feel of glossy mousing surfaces particularly after a few hours of gaming. The more matte finish in the black is comfortable and I've yet to have an issue with my fingers feeling like they are sliding around the surface of the mouse. For my hand size the grip is perfect. Everything is where it should be aside from the center button which I'm not exactly sure what it is there for. Its much too awkward to press as it is almost beneath the top part of my palm. It's odd but doesn't distract from the mouse in anyway.

2) All those buttons: :D YAY!
If you've owned the Naga or similar mice (Logitech G600) with the number grid on the thumb side of the mouse you know that the far back buttons are hard to press. You've really got to bend your thumb to get to them. At least that is my experience.

UPDATE: I had a replacement because I could not update the firmware of the original one. Also, I updated my review to correct errors and reflect my feelings for this mouse after 1½ years.

UPDATE: It seems on-board function execution no longer works. Taking off another star.

WHAT I LIKE │ + │
+ Premium feel. It feels very expensive. Soft rubbery surface, metal underside, hard plastic buttons that doesn't feel cheap.
+ Premium looks. Looks expensive too. The lighting is very natural, not overpowering. Braided cable.
+ On-Board Memory FOR PROFILE STORAGE ONLY.
+ High button count: 15 buttons, arranged in an ergonomic way (kind of). I disagree that it feels super awkward to use. A couple of buttons are a little harder to reach, but you assign those buttons to the least frequently used functions.
+ Easy to use software, once you start using it.
+ Does not look "meh" like the Logitech G600 and Razer Naga. (Subjective)

WHAT I DON'T LIKE │ × │
× Scroll wheel does not tilt. Boo!
× 1-key rollover. While a modifier key can be assigned, you have to use the keyboard for the 2nd key.
× On-board memory profile storage only. Execution still relies on Windows.
× Software is buggy. Poor driver too: cannot properly detect the mouse.
× I really wished Corsair put a button at the center-thumb spot of the mouse.
× Fixed DPI count. User is forced to select 3 DPI settings per profile, no more, no less.
× Needs some getting used to and has a learning curve.

What I wish was there:
▶ Wireless, weight customization, lighting options.
▶ Selectable scroll-mode (Logitech G700 let's you choose between free-scroll OR "click"-scroll)

VERDICT: I highly this product.

I am revising my review because someone from Corsair finally contacted me. (Shortly after I left my Amazon review hmm.)

For the time being I am leaving a 3 star review as I have not really had a chance to use the mouse aside from the initial headache of trying to set it up.

SO, here is the trick that is COMPLETELY unclear in the documentation and software in order to hardware bind settings.

1. First create a profile under "Manage Profiles"
2. Assign an LED by double clicking it and selecting a drop down from one of the six menus in the new window.
3. Click "Ok" and go to "Assign Buttons" click "Button Options"
4. Make sure the "Hardware Playback" option is unchecked while binding keys.
5. Click the mouse button on the image you would like to bind.
6. Select "Keystroke" under "Button Options" then click the + button to the right and assign a key.
7. Setup any keys you would like to bind by repeating steps 5 and 6.
8. Once your keys are setup go to "Manage Profiles" and double click on the LED to bring up the untitled LED Window.
9. Verify the profile you created is selected for one of the LED drop down menus.
10. Click "Save to M95" that is hidden in this untitled windows because this is the trick that makes your key-bindings work.
11. Click OK
12. Put a check in the "Hardware Playback" box.
13. Use the furthest back V shaped thumb buttons on the mouse to ensure the proper LED profile is selected indicated by the Blue LEDs on the mouse.

And you're done! Follow those 13 easy to remember, totally intuitive steps and reprogram your mouse in mere minutes. (/end Sarcasm)

Hopefully the performance will trump the headache inducing software.
