About the Author
James Nathaniel Holland is an American expat who has lived in Costa Rica for over thirteen years. He came from New York City and opened the successful Casa Holanda Bed and Breakfast in Heredia before meeting his Costa Rican husband, settling down in the mountains and becoming co-owner of La Corona de los Santos. With his experience cooking for guests and being “adopted” by his partner’s family, he has become an expert in the mountain culture and cuisine of this special, but not-yet-quite-discovered region of the country.
