If you are looking for a new series of books to read then these are a great addition to your library.
Joe Murray is the curmudgeonly (but loveable) owner of the Lazy Luncheonette, and a part-time sleuth. He is kept in his place by his 2 lady friends. His is like a dog with a bone, and once he gets started on a new mystery he does not give in until he has got to the bottom of it all.
Do consider reading from series from the beginning. You will thoroughly enjoy them.
David Robinson is a great writer, his storylines are great and you will often find yourself laughing out loud. And best of all there is no 'page filling', which is a pet hate of mine.
As the title suggests this set in Spain, where he has been whisked off to by his ladies to have a long awaited holiday following a health scare. A murder happens on their first night and Joe is off trying to solve it. The other characters are extremely well written.
I will say no more, BUY IT and read it, its GREAT
Would suit most murder fans, interesting, funny and good story lines.
On page 80per cent Joe bought Dimmock a beer in the Coyotes which he sat and looked at, but on the next page Dimmock stirred his whisky! Can Joe now turn beer into whisky?
