Joi is a smart woman who knows what she wants. She doesn't settle for anything less than what she desires and deserves.

I love her three T's...theme, theory, and trademark.

Her theme is age is just a number. Her theory is to enjoy who you enjoy and be happy. Her trademark is a purple rose. The rose looks fantastic against her ice-white suit.

The three stories explore Joi's vitality and zest for life. Events take unexpected turns at times. Joi manages to turn with them. She is a survivor.

Fun Short Romantic Stories to Read

I enjoyed Cheryl Holloway's short romantic stories in the Boxed Set of "Cougar Tales." Although the main character, Joi, is a thread throughout, each story is different, and Holloway brings readers to new locations and situations not found in everyday romance novels. She includes enough detail to describe the settings without bogging down the plots. She blends a little bit of intrigue with a fun sense of humor which makes for a delightful read. The stories are well written and the pace is relaxing. If you are looking for a little escape, I'd recommend you read these stories, and get an idea of how at least one special cougar lives.

Something sassy for a quick read

Holloway's three stories are sweet and sassy, a fun read. The first book is really a short story, and it ends abruptly on a surprise. I wished there had been a few more scenes to explore the consequences or further adventures from this unexpected plot development, because these characters and their situation was the most interesting of the three stories. The second book is an extended short story, taking place in Italy. Only the last book was a fully fleshed out story, charming in its exploration of a touristy cruise love affair. Holloway is a plot-driven writer, and her stories move quickly. If you like to consume romance novels like bon bons, and want to fantasize about international travel, millionaires, and tender love, you'll probably enjoy these Cougar Tales.

Like a first kiss

I have just discovered Cheryl Holloway and her "Cougar" series. What great fun! These short stories are a fun-filled collection of reasons why smart, savvy, successful women should pursue (and be pursued by) wonderful partners, regardless of their demographics! They are short, sweet and passionate, and leave you wanting more, just like a perfect first kiss. I rate this collection 4.5 (rounded to 5). One drawback for me was that occasionally the heroine seemed a little shallow, focused on indicators of wealth. (Of course, if you are picking a love interest, why shouldn't you go with tall, dark, handsome, and rich?) Also, I may be wrong, but there were what seemed to be odd choices of punctuation or phrasing. On the other hand, Holloway gets points in my book for appreciating ginger beer, Lord &Taylor, and Billie Holiday. Full disclosure, I receive this set at no charge in exchange for an honest review. That being said, I couldn't be happier that I was allowed to do so. I enjoyed these stories immensely, and look forward to reading more of the author's work.

Three contemporary romantic tales which are actually books 1,2 and 3 of the great Cougar Tales series. Three totally different stories, but cougar Joi is the common thread in all three stories. A variety of locations, humor and lots of surprises keep the series interesting. The books have a well defined plot with lots of detail and are an easy read. You will enjoy these well written romantic stories. These are my first books by author, Cheryl Holloway, but won't be my last.

Age isn't anything but number

These three short stories takes you inside the life of a "cougar." In a relationship age isn't anything but a number. If a relationship will succeed it has to have a lot more going for it than same age. I don't want to give much away but as with anything else there are peaks and valleys. I know there were short stories but I do wish we would have learned more about Joni's inner emotions and insight into herself and not only how she felt about the men in her life. I would have liked to know more of why she was a cougar. I enjoyed reading about Joni's travels and enjoying the "finer" things in life. And again without giving too much away everyone loves a happy ending!!!

Cheryl Holloway is an eBook romance author and blogger, who loves to pay it forward to other authors around the world. Her series entitled Cougar Tales is a fast and easy read. The main character, Joi, is the common thread throughout each story. I have never met anyone quite like her. I will share that my husband is four years younger than me.

I enjoyed reading the stories and look forward to reading more of this author's work.
