Bishop Robert serves as the President & Chief Executive Officer of Count to One, a ministry which exists to promote greater unity in the Body of Christ worldwide. Christ said that our love for one another would be the way the world would know that we are His disciples. As followers of Christ forgive one another and love one another - we will be in a better position to serve Jesus and fulfill the Great Commission.

Ordained to the ministry in 1999 in the Assemblies of God, Bishop Robert was consecrated a bishop in the Communion of Evangelical Episcopal Churches (the CEEC) on June 10, 2012 at the Garden Tomb in Jerusalem. The CEEC is a conservative communion of evangelical Christians who embrace all three historic streams of worship expression in the Church – the sacramental, the evangelical and the Pentecostal.

For four years since being consecrated a bishop, he served as the assistant to the CEEC’s Presiding Bishop of the Communion of Evangelical Episcopal Churches, assisting in the global mission of the Communion. Because of his personal experience helping South Sudan as it became an independent nation in 2011, Bishop Robert was appointed as Bishop of South Sudan in January of 2013. Bishop Robert was also concurrently appointed as Bishop of the Mediterranean and Middle East and tasked with looking for evangelism and church planting opportunities in that region.

"Count to One" is a MUST READ for all believers in Jesus Christ ! Bishop Robert successfully brings the teachings in the Bible, regarding Christian unity, to life. He makes a serious topic very easy to understand. Bishop Robert's writing style made me feel as though we were having a personal conversation. He certainly has a gift for breaking down various points within the Christian goal of becoming "One ".

I have to admit, coming from a Bapti – costal perspective, I, at first, found the writing very dry and calculated. I almost gave up reading, but I thank God I continued. As I read, I felt the desire in Bishop Robert’s heart for all Christians to be unified. I believe that he writes from the leading of the Holy Spirit and that the scripture he uses is right on target with God’s divine will to bring His body together as one in order to fight our common enemy.

I advise all Christians to put aside denominational preferences and read “Count to One: God’s Plan for Christian Unity” with an open heart and a mind for doing whatever it takes to bring unity to God’s people.

I would encourage all Christians to read Count To One. Jesus's prayer in John 17 was for the church to be one as He and the Father are one. Jesus longed for His Body to be united in the proclamation of the "Good News" to a world that is bruised and in chaos. The "Church" needs to hear and receive this message. The "Church" not only needs to hear the message, it needs to act on it. God's heartbeat is unity in His Body. Bishop Robert shares, in a very profound way, God's heart for His "Church!" The Apostle Paul said, "There is one body and one spirit... one Lord, one baptism; one God and Father of all!!! Jesus is coming back for one bride. His bride!

Pick up the book! Read it and meditate on what Bishop Robert is saying about unity and the message of John 17. But don't only read it and then put it on the shelf. Act on what Bishop Robert has said in his book. Set aside all your pre-conceived notions about other believers (denominations) and listen to God's heart. Be a catalyst for unity in your community, city, state, and nation. God is on the move in this world and he needs all who believe that Jesus is the Christ and that you are saved by grace alone unto good works to come together to advance His Kingdom. “Count to One” is an informative and extraordinarily compelling exhortation for unity in the body of Christ.
The Apostle Paul said it in his letter to the church in Corinth, “We are one body. If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it. In Ephesians Paul writes, “There is one body and one spirit” . . . and yet we live in a world where there are more than 43,000 different and often quite exclusive Christian denominations.
Christian persecution is at unprecedented levels and in the United States, powerful, organized and well financed groups, last year alone, sent out over a billion messages, using social media, the press, movies and television to discredit the Bible and its teachings, attack religion and condemn Christians.
We need unity in the Body of Christ now, more than ever.
Bishop Robert, has provided us fertile soil in which to grow our own understanding of God’s plan for Christian unity and how we should deal with existing divisive differences and then he outlines, on a deeply personal level, a path forward, through the cross, to relational forgiveness, redemptive love and the unity that only Christ offers.

I highly recommend this book for all Christians to read. The author explains who the church really is which challenged me personally. I took away the power of the vision of unity as something that will change our world and our lives. We get so caught up in our little world of church that we forget the big plan for the Body of Christ sometimes, this book reminded me of that reality. Bishop Robert's easy to understand style of writing founded on Biblical teaching with his own personal experiences mixed in makes it an enjoyable read.
