BEST ONLINE FPS GAME - EVER MADE!
5 out of 5 stars
BEST ONLINE FPS GAME - EVER MADE!
This is the 4th reincarnation of Counter-Strike, and by far the best. In the past 13 years I have played thousands of hours of Counter-Strike and I continue to play, because it's STILL FUN! What other game in history has the ability to engage the player so continuously for so many years?

Note: Prices may vary on where you get this game (PC, Steam, or Xbox 360 Store) Regardless, let us begin the review.

This game brings back most, if not all, the old maps, all rendered with an updated engine. Of course, along with the old gameplay of CS 1.6, CS:GO offers a set of new maps and of course a couple more game modes. Are there times where you don't have friends to play with or have lost access to Xbox Live? No problem. The game's local variant allows you to play with Bots instead! Sadly if you purchase this on the console, their is no couch co-op game play (split-screen).

If you were a fan of the first Counter-Strike, I highly recommend this new variant. It has brought me some nostalgia, and maybe it will do the same for you!

This is NOT downloadable game!!!! You get a code in the mail and HAVE TO PLAY IT THROUGH Steam...on a team, no solo play whatsoever. NOT what I expected. BEWARE!

5.0 out of 5 stars A DECENT GAME
Reviewed in India on February 9, 2018
OVERVIEW- CS:GO is my third Steam game in the line, and was happy that I bought it earlier than my friends. It arrived exactly on the day it should have, no delivery problems. The packaging was very disciplined and strict, I had to spend like 5 minutes to understand from where to open it. Now to the game, the graphics is alright for a game of this price, and this game is playable in most PC configurations, which is the most appreciable thing of all about this game. The gameplay is way better than its previous ones. The number of online servers that you would find for this game is astounding. You will never play offline, you will definitely find somebody.
IN THE BOX - In the box, there is a DVD for installation, and a Steam card containing the activation key. And remember, this is a "STEAM" key.
INSTALLATION - I recommend activating the game in Steam and downloading it from Steam, rather than installing it from the DVD, because either way you have to download updates. If you have a decent Internet connection, download the whole game. The size is around 15-16 GB.
VERDICT - You can call this game, a cheaply priced AAA title, which has already and will continue to receive good reviews. There is no better FPS multiplayer game in the market other than this. Believe me, buy it, your game collection will not be tarnished by this one.
Many customers have asked questions regarding System Requirements for this game. Well, I will be adding it now -
    # Operating System - Windows XP/7/Vista/8/8.1/10
    # RAM - 2GB (I would recommend 4GB, but you won't face any problem with 2 GB either)
    # Processor - Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 (Don't worry about it, you might have even better than this)
    # Graphics Card - Anything with 256 MB graphics memory or more.(The more the better)
    # An Internet Connection (Broadband is highly recommended, it has significantly lower ping values than wireless connections)
    # Storage Space - 15 GB (Well, keep space for the updates too, they are going to consume space)

    This should be enough.

Well, if you want to enjoy another Steam game, go for Team Fortress 2. Its free to play on Steam.

5.0 out of 5 stars Way cheaper than on steam, got it the very next day after placing the order
Reviewed in India on June 22, 2015
Counter strike will always be counter strike and this one somehow feels closer to its cs 1.6 roots that we all love and some even prefer. The graphics are beautiful, the new maps and new game modes are extremely fun and add some variety for people who get bored dping the same thing, plus there are loads of Indian servers with low ping for that perfect experience. I won't get into all the details of the changes because that's already there online and one YouTube. What I will say though is it's extremely fun and addictive, and the game has become really polished and easier for the newer casual players to get into. Finally, this is way cheaper than on steam, u get a code to link it to steam, and a box copy for you to show off at home and delivery was really fast for me at least I got it the next day. So what are you still reading for? Pick it up because it really is worth every penny :D

4.0 out of 5 stars Best Online Tactical Action Game..
Reviewed in India on December 4, 2016
In case you're unfamiliar, Counter-Strike is an entirely multiplayer experience. You can play offline against AI bots, but these are still merely simulating what it's like to play online, rather than really giving you a single-player game. The good news is that this is as good as online team-based shooters get. In the traditional game mode, there are two types of matches and two tiers of play. Casual level is for newer players and removes aspects like friendly fire and the need to purchase armor and ancillary items each round (more on that in a second). Ranked level is the original style of CS, with all the "realism" settings enabled, but it also features a comprehensive skill-based ranking system to try to balance teams and place good players with other good players.

Both of these tiers feature several maps--original CS maps like de_dust are reproduced here and still going strong, mixed in with entirely new maps--and each map is tied to one of two game types. In Defusal, one team (the Terrorists) must plant a bomb at a critical site and defend it until it explodes, while the other team (the Counter-Terrorists) must try to either prevent them from planting it or defuse it before it goes off. The other game type, Hostage Rescue, turns the tables. Here, the Terrorists have taken a group of AI hostages that they must protect until time runs out, while the CTs must assault their location and free the hostages.
No matter which modes you choose to play CS:GO in, however, you'd better be playing with a keyboard and mouse. On the PlayStation 3, playing with a controller is very difficult because CS:GO lacks the hand-holding auto-aim that console FPS players are generally used to, and because many PS3 players will likely be playing with a USB keyboard and mouse, which are both supported by CS:GO. 360 players aren't so lucky, unfortunately, as they're relegated to a controller.

This isn't really a disadvantage, of course, as everyone else on Xbox LIVE is playing with one, too, but you definitely won't be getting the ultimate CS:GO experience playing with thumbsticks and shoulder buttons. Regardless of your OS, you'll appreciate some of the bells and whistles it has appropriated from other Valve games, especially Team Fortress 2. Like in that game, you now have "nemesis" players who can dominate you by killing you consecutively, and you can take screenshots of the moment of your death, should you like to memorialize that kind of stuff.
When using a keyboard and mouse, you'll notice the controls are sharp and easily customizable. Unlike the guns in, say, Battlefield, most of CS:GO's guns do not have an aim-down-the-sight feature. There are no vehicles, special weapons, or power-ups, either. You get your gear, learn the maps, and rely on your skills to take you to the finish line. Graphics, while improved from the Source engine, are nothing fancy, and neither is sound--although veteran players will be gratified to hear that many of their favorite guns' sounds are retained from earlier versions (especially the thunderous AWP). CS:GO adds a lot of new guns, too, of various types, and even a new grenade, the incendiary grenade, which can light a small area on fire for a short time, preventing players from passing through without taking damage.

Bottom line, CS:GO adds plenty, tweaks a little, and keeps the best parts of the classic multiplayer FPS. If you're into shooters, team-based gameplay, or just classic games that are updated well, you won't do better at the moment than CS:GO.

Even though the game is awesome, the packing by the seller was not upto the mark. No issues other than that.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome Game!!!!!

Received it much before the given date, product was nicely packaged into cardboard box. Kudos to Amazon for fast delivery and packaging.
Coming to the game we get a CD which is of no use and a steam code which can activated online on steam client.

Tried couple of times to run CD but it wasn't installing game.. Finally had to download whole game of 6.4GB from steam. It took nearly 2hrs on my Internet connection to download game.

    #PROS:
1.Game has now lot details and high end graphics which is definitely gonna be liked by all.

    2.Plenty of steam add on's

    #CONS:
1.If you're used to play Counter strike source alot... Then u'll find bit difficult to handle guns in this edition. U've to be more precise and accurate with your targets.

    2.Needs very good Internet connection.

    Conclusion :
This is an awesome game and all gaming freaks shouldn't miss this.. I'm totally in love with it.. And spending my holidays on it day and night :)
    Don't wait, just buy it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Experienced Review and Criticism of CS:GO
Reviewed in India on May 9, 2015
This is a review of the game and not of Amazon.
I have played the game for over 1000 hours and my review is based on this experience. I recently ordered another CD key from Amazon for a second account when the game had discount.
The game is really immersive. For all the guys who play CoD or BF, this game will open a horizon of First Person Shooters you've not seen before. The game has a really budding community and a matchmaking system that is really nice. It will develop your aiming and movement skills beyond recognition and at every step it will test your reflexes. Even for those who don't want to play much, there is the option of using skins for betting on pro matches or other stuff.
Now a criticism for those who say that they don't want to download it: THIS GAME GETS UPDATES EVERY WEEK. There is no way Valve can put content in the game CD as it gets updates so frequently. There is no party of the game that has not changed since I've been playing this game (bought originally on 25th Dec 2013).
