Strong, independent woman gets kidnapped and drugged. When she wakes up she's in a strange place, doesn't know what's happened to her or her baby and instead of asking... who, what, where and why she falls in love with the H and the horrific incident isn't talked about. Crazy.
Too many characters thrown in in the beginning I just gave up trying to figure it out. She marries the H then after one day leaves him and 5 months later she carrying his twins, planning to never see him again. When reunited short explanation and then she begs him to take her to bed!! What???
Crazy read, would not recommend. I've read a lot of books but this was just too bizarre. I did finish it but did a lot of skimming just to get through it.
She confronts her family and her cousin Julia who had been using her name to be married to Theron. You see that they were getting married to seal with deal that Theron had made with her father. A big argument arrives and the family tried to scare her off even her natural father. She explains that Julie was her cousin trying to be past off as Cassidy.
Of course everyone wanted to see proof which she had with her
birth certificate, baptism paper and lots more. Of course her natural mother and father who denied her existence was there pretending to be Julia (Cassiopeia) mother.
When Cassidy could no longer stand the garbage around her she told them that she would give a DNA sample to show that she was indeed
She went so far as to have the American Embassy help her out with the DNA. Since everything was in a turmoil she went to the Embassy where Theron was waiting for her. He asked her how much money she wanted to go away but, Cassidy held her ground.
She wanted to get the DNA results to prove who she really was. In the the meantime she got a injunction from Greece and America courts stipulating that the marriage could not go through until everything was settled.
Theron couldn't help but fall for Cassidy with her red hair and sparky attitude. Cassidy also had start to care for Theron but, she knew she had to go back to son in America. Theron finds out where Cassidy is living and goes to the bar that she owns. When he sees the place he thinks she either works as a prostitute or was a drunk he did not know she owned the place. A fight starts and that when he sees Cassidy welding a baseball bat and proceeds to get everything back to normal.
Theron and his driver follow Cassidy but not to close. Cassidy is in her drive way and as she gets out of the car she is kidnapped leaving her son in the back seat of her car. When Theron shows up he see Cassidy's car so he goes to check and finds the little boy in the backseat but no Cassidy. The little boy was wet and crying but since he found the diaper bag he asked his driver to show him how to clean up the boy
Theron goes in search of Cassidy knowing she may have met with fowl play. He has his driver call Greece and got some information about where they might have taken her. When he finally finds her she is tied down and stripped and the men that were there. He scoops up Cassidy and takes her to her son who was waiting in the car.
Theron stays with Cassidy and gets to know her and her son but takes them back to Greece with him so everything can be made clear,
Twists, and turns can Cassidy and Theron have a HEA with all the deception swirling around. Guess you will have to read the book.
Our hero is Theron Christofides, wealthy tycoon, who is interested in saving the island of Evadne, where he grew up and whose residents earn a living from tourists who visit the island. Theron has agreed to marry Cassiopeia and sire a child with her in exchange for possession of Dolmides Cruise Lines, which brings tourists to Evadne Island.
Cassidy and Theron feel an immediate attraction, and Theron believes Cassidy is the real Cassiopeia when he watches the control she has over the patrons of her bar. He is infuriated when, after waiting all evening to speak with Cassidy, she sends him a message that she will be unable to meet with him but would see him in the morning. After leaving the bar, Cassidy is kidnapped attempting to go home, leaving Zio strapped in his car seat in the back seat of the car. Shortly thereafter Theron discovers the car and crying baby. The author cleverly demonstrates the tender side of the Greek tycoon who finds himself responsible for a weeping baby with a badly soiled diaper. Theron becomes aware he cares about this baby and it's mother, a totally alien emotion to him. After rescuing Cassidy from a seedy motel and the kidnappers, Theron takes her and Zio to Greece where he hears her life story and determines he will marry her because he has feelings for her and also for business reasons.
In my opinion, the book should have ended there, but the author continues on. And the all lived happily-ever-after.
