The Whimsical World of Sheri Fink children's brand is an excellent resource for award-winning and quality children's books. --Jack Canfield, co-creator of Chicken Soup for the Soul & NYT Best-selling author of The Success Principles
Immediately engaging the reader, the Little Seahorse takes children through a marvelous underwater world of magic and mystery, utilizing aquatic friends in showing how easy and fun it is to count. Counting Sea Life with the Little Seahorse would definitely be an ideal book to add to your home library, having your child counting a vast array of marine life on their way to dreamland each night. I thoroughly enjoyed this educational journey, and recommend it to be read to children prior to entering kindergarten, resulting in some good counting habits. --Readers Favorite

A must for your every preschoolers library and the classroom!
Kids will have fun learning about ocean life as they count up creatures, some that are well known and others less so. Whales, turtles, crabs and seals are included as well as narwhals, blowfish, and pipefish. Numbers go up from one to twenty, then provide kids with an extra challenge by skipping to 30.
The authors add alliteration (i.e., dandy dolphins, tuna in tutus, jolly jellyfish eating jelly), and a lot of whimsy. For instance, the oysters are performing Shakespeare, the pipefish are pirates, and the narwhals are ninjas.
There are also downloadable coloring pages and a way for kids to interact with the authors at the end. It all adds up to a fun way for kids to learn to count with the Little Seahorse as their guide.
The authors provided me with a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
In it we take a journey with the little seahorse through the sea meeting interesting, colorful creatures. We're able to see them entertainment, enjoying themselves and even visiting one another. The educational component is that we are able to count the animals along the way.
If you are looking for a book that not just gets the kid's attention, teaches them about counting and even allows them to be a part of the book at the end then this will be just the right book for you. It grabs your attention, introducing you to curious creatures and makes learning fun.
